For me it depends on which VS we´re talking about. As far as Horizon goes, I understand both reactions completly and can´t balme them for saying what they did. I´d be pissed too if I was in their shoes. The difference starts with the email you get afterwards. It feels like Kaidan did move on or tried at least since he writes that he´s going to date a doctor on the Citadel....so if that isn´t a break up material then I don´t know what is....<_<

I like Ashly´s mail so much better. She is much more mature and understanding about the whole situation. And the poem in the end, just shows how much she still cares. So if I ever make it through with my Mshep, he is definitely getting back with Ash! No weirdness attached ^_^
For my Femshep thou....I don´t know. I have a problem accepting a guy who says he cares for me and wants to go out with another girl at the same time. It´s just wrong and definitely wierd. So no, there will be no Kaidan for my Femshep in ME3 :P Especially since there are other options...:D

he said he saw someone for drinks at the urging of his friends, BEFORE Shepard showed up....  I know that e-mail is vague but... lord... he didn't say he was goinfg to keep dating her, he said he was trying to move on, but it didn't work.

he said that when he saw Shepard, everything just grinded to a stop.  if thit's not declaration of feelings still there, then...

Ashley is more direct.. as its in character for Ashley.  they are both mature.

anyways Stardusk if every girl you ever dated cheated on you you either have a horrible taste in girls, or you did what one of my exes did and just assumed that they would cheat untill they got tired of being accused of something they didn't do and decided they might as well fulfill your expectations.  might want to go ahead and look at how you chose your partners, what is it that you do in relationships that you have YET to date a single capable of fidelity person.  and stop assuming that everyone is like that.

Maybe, but I actually trusted my ex until it happened so not entirely the case, on the other hand, it did not surprise me that it did happen, not as clear cut as you are making it out to be. In one case I dated a girl for over a year only to find out that she had been engaged; how the hell was I supposed to know that? Never suspected anything? Magic antenna or something?

It would be weird if OP was ever in a relationship... period

He's on BSN to escape reality you twit.

Doesn't mean he has no past with relationships. I'm here too, but have a fiancee. Others are married

My moneys on you having had numerous arguments, quarrels and disagreements with your fiancee, yet coming out stronger each time. Kids don't seem to understand this part.

Dunno. Right now that's true, but we had also times when we were almost about to end that relationship. Depends on the issue I guess. And no, it's not a problem like "cheating" or "you are fat". It's more the age difference - most arguments are caused by that. She's 10 years younger than me - and I am almost 30. Oh and we're together for a tad more than one and a half years now.

My latest ex was 11 years younger than I was, wasn't the best thing I think.

It was an uncertain split up. They both said in there emails that they thought that in the future, there is a chance that they could be back together again. Also, it is different from the OPs case as the VS never cheated.

It may be a little awkward at first, but I can't see why they can't get back together. Time heals and everything. And I am sure after the events of ME2 (depending on how Shepard was with Cerberus) that they will see that the situation isn't what they first thought it was.

I guess it wasn't a technical cheating but 2 years and a death, people usually don't get back together after that.

Hehehe. People don't usually die for two years and get brought back to life either ;)

Shepard is in a rather unique situation. It would be quite hard to compare it to current society.

Yeah, it is a game, suppose I would prefer to be Shepard than myself, lol.

I don't blame Kaidan nor Ashley one bit. Their reaction was to be expected. Losing the one they love is painful beyond what I can guess. And lets be honest. When some one close to you die, you don't expect them to come back to life again. That Ash and Kaidan tried to move on during those two years was a good thing. They couldn't stop living their life only to hope that Sheppard would return from the dead. But since that did happened, their reaction is to be expected. Because it wasn't just about Cerberus and trusting Sheppard. It was about the person they love standing right in front of them back from the dead. If any one think that the emotions would be easy to control in that moment is a fool. To see Seppard alive back from the dead after all those years is beyond what any of you can even hop to feel until it happens.

If you don't like what happened at Horizon blame that damn mupp who chose Sheppard's conversation lines <___< *shudders*

yea the closed that could happen IRL is being put into a coma in a foriegn contry and under a "jane/John do" like situation. With burns i bleave so id'ing would be near impossable.

And there have been i think a few stories like that, granted I think the real life ones end up either really messy or they move on speratly.
