Well, I bought Dragon Age Ultimate Edition during Steam's big sale a few days ago, and have been completely unable to even play the game due to it failing to allow me to get past this Configuration Utility.  I can fire up the launcher, then choosing either Configure or Play will launch the utility, which stalls out on the blue bar "scanning system" about 1/3 of the way through.  Waiting makes no difference, I have let it sit for 30 minutes without it budging past that point.  Shutting it down in the task manager insists that it had stopped responding, despite the task manager saying it is running otherwise.  I poked around in these forums and on google for possible solutions, and tried allowing admin for the launcher as well as the config exe file to no avail, and am totally baffled how it continues to fail to let me even start the game.

System specs are not a problem:
Processor: AMD Athlon II x2 255 (3.1ghz)
RAM: 4gb
Video: Nvidia GTS 250, 1gb ram - Driver 280.26
Audio: Soundblaster X-Fi Extreme
OS: Win 7 Home Premium 64bit

Any help is appreciated, if I can't get this running I am going to have to waste my one-shot Steam refund.
