why was your time wasted? if an emotional death at a conclusion of a story is what happens then youve followed the character that youve built right on till the end...

I'm happy with Heroic Death or Happily Ever After or pretty much any other "end" for Shepard provided it's done well.

I spent the last 4+ years creating countless playthrough possibilities, to watch him/her die? It's likely a possible ending, but it's not what I'm aiming for in the first run.

It should definatly be one of the possible outcomes, but on my watch? Not likely!

Several of my Shepards weren't intended to survive ME3, but making it canon? Rather cheapens the idea of that we accomplished something in these years - no matter how hard you've tried, Shepard will die in the end, so what's the point of trying?

I would be open to it, but like anything else it would require quality storytelling to be appreciated. I don't want a "guard the bomb" or "ultimate sacrifice" type of death.

As an option for playthroughs that didn't do enough, sure. As an unavoidable ending or the only way to beat the reapers and have everything else be fine; **** off no!

It should definitely be a possibility. One thing i definitely do not want is some kind of martyr ending where Shepard sacrifices himself so everyone else can survive.

I think that would be interesting... It can't be the only option, becuause obviously everyone would be pissed. Like others have said, I've spent alot of time making my Shepards. It would be cool though, kind of as the last major decision.

I only wonder how they would be able to incorporate it as an option to make people willing to sacrifice their Shepards...

Want? No. A story line wherein he SACRIFICES himself? Sure. I would NOT want it just to end poorly (i.e., the cliche where he defeats the reapers and some half-dead reaper raises his gun and pops Shepard in the back).

Wouldn't mind it being an option for those that want to go out all heroic death and such, but I'd certainly like to have an option for the dude to...I dunno... kick back and have a few beers, maybe take a god damned vacation after ME3.

I'd rather my Shep lived.
