As I stated in the poll, I'm slightly reluctant about the game...but I know I'm going to buy it anyways. I didn't stay a fan 5 years to peter out in the last 3 months. There are also other factors at play ensuring the purchase, but it's pretty much guaranteed to be bought.

MP is still not needed imo.
Too little choice.
Not concluding the story in a satisfying way.
If they change the Galaxy Map music, I might very well kill myself.

look lets just agree to disagree, your opinion is your own and i will not seek to change it, perhaps "putting the game down" is the wrong choice of words i just dont want people dragging what i consider to be inconsequential issues into their decision making, many people love ME3 but apparently will not get it because of origin. end of civilised argumentDiebytheSword wrote...

it sounded like your vote was influenced by origins involvement, should we really judge a game by how it is given to the cutsomers?, no we shouldnt its like putting down a game because your copy was second hand, that doesnt affect the quality of the game. did anyone complain when portal was relased via steam? no did they base their reviews of it with steams involvement as a particular point? no. please please please dont put down ME3 because you dont like origin.
Presentation is part of the total package. Shall I elaborate? ME3 will have a coop multiplayer component, one that will require me to build a new network of freinds on a different app than the one I use for well over 90% of my multiplayer gaming. Valve doesn't get a ding for that because I already use their service, I have a network of freinds on their application and I do not on Origin. This affects the multiplayer aspect of the game, and while it is a small portion of the overall experience, in my opinion, it is still part of the problem. Thus, as it stands, ME3 can't possibly achieve 100% satisfaction with me at the moment. 90% is hardly putting a game down, if my child came home with a test that read that at the top, it would be praise worthy.
That said, should bioware integrate BSN friends lists into ME3 multiplayer, I would be a happy camper. Then I wouldn't need to build a new network of friends, or hassle myself to contact people on steam to find out their origin name so I can play ME3 with people I trust to have a good time with. This is a non-detachable portion of the game, it is part of the game, part of the experience, and I can't give it a perfect score, but a very good one.
If that's putting the game down in your book, then we have nothing left to discuss.
I should also note that I preordered the N7CE for it, something I have never done for any other game ever. Terrible put down, I know.

I guess we all have to wait to see if the game will have the epic conclusion and an amazing history.
I got a little disapointed with the co-op, but I'll wait and see (:

As it stands, ME1 will still likely have the best story, ME2 the best characters and ME3 the best Shepard.

I never pre-order games, and I have iffy feelings about this game after Commander Hawke of the SSV Kirkwall's disastrous adventure earlier this year.

I don't have any problem with the multiplayer, it sounds like harmless fun.
About the story, based in the 2nd leak it seems to be great, sure, not all things are like I was expecting but that would be unrealistic expectations. It's leaps and bounds better than ME2 for sure.
I would say 90%, with some neat vehicular missions / exploration it could be a 100%.
(Sorry for any misspelling, english isn't my first languaje)

this also classes as an outside issue, put it aside and then see how you feel, remember DA2 was a different dev team okay?bandfred wrote...

I believe I stated that I have the N7CE preordered, and that I will own it on day one. It hardly ruins the experience to rebuild a freind network, but it also cannot be said to not affect me. Again, as I said I dinged it slightly, did not put it down in any way, and proved how it would be consequential to the enjoyment of the title. So yes, we will have to agree to disagree, especially since your reaction appears to be knee-jerk to those who constantly cry that they will cancel there preorder if their demands are not met. I don't like those opinions either.
I am, however, glowingly happy with everything thus far, official and unofficial information included. If the script was mostly correct on the final game, I will be immensely satisfied.

I don't understand the ****ing over multiplayer. If you don't like it don't play it. Reminds me of the people complaining about same-sex romance except I see that several advocates of same-sex romance are whining about multiplayer.

indeed, which is why i try to encourage keeping a level and open mind, it gives a much clearer view of what the actual problems are, DA2 wasnt bad, it just wasnt what people expected and that ruffled quite a few feathers, i actually enjoy it more than DA;O. (*sunglasses* deal with it), cannot wait for ME3 but there has been little official announcements recently so im hoping for some christmas newsODST 3 wrote...
I've already pre-ordered a Collector's Edition of the game. Looking forward to it a lot as the ME series has been improved in sequels thus far.

then why not vote, anyway the poll says try to forget about origin and say what you think about the game itself. its only a couple of clicksCenturyCrow wrote...
While I'm strongly for it (didn't vote) and really would like to finish the series, to me it's a single player game and I don't need or want Origin. At best it might not be needed for single play but I'm still watching for how BF 3 users are handling it or if other games come out with Origin as an in-your-face mandatory install.

No, not that. You think the individual dev teams really make the big decisions that end up making a game as anticipated as the DA:O sequel into a game as disappointing as DA2?
