I think that 90% is closer to my opinion than anything else.

I kind of wish the lower percentages were the ones with the higher vote counts for some reason.

Most of the people with concerns have been driven off these boards months ago.

I picked 50%,  but I'm actually in line with 40%,  except I haven't cancelled my preorder yet.  Haven't decided yet,  but the more EA-Bioware talks about this game,  the less interested I am in it.

My question is if you have a problem with the game and are "canceling my preorder and never looking at bioware again," why are you still here at a forum hosted by bioware for Mass Effect? (I would have capitalized both, but I'm not feeling obnoxious tonight).

It's the downers that are a few threads away from taking any enjoyment from some of these threads away. DA2 this, script that, multiplayer COD EA that........ origin I can fully understand concern.

Off Topic: Anyone who thinks that ME is trying to be like COD should be taken outback shot, stabbed, posioned and drowned for pure blindness and stupid rage. Worst argument I have ever heard against ME.

To clarify, I'm picking up ME3 no matter what, since I thought ME2 was pretty spectacular. But my actual level of interest (based only on advertising) is at about 40%. I've seen some stuff I like, but most of what I've seen (multiplayer, stand alone installment, etc) just hasn't impressed me so far.

Nice to see that the haters and whiners are much more of a minority than the amount of complaining I've seen recently would seem to indicate. Myself, I voted 100%; not because I think every last thing will be perfect (that's impossible), but because I'd overall give ME2 10/10, and this one, from what I've seen, looks to be better.

50%. I have a bad feeling about this, as far as my personal preferences and expectations are concerned. If only it wasn't the last part of the trilogy...

Yeah, although I voted 50% I'm still keeping my preorder as well for the time being. Yet ME3 has turned from a definite must buy to a game Bioware will have to sell to me in the months coming.

There are some points that will decide wether I keep the preorder or wether I'lll just maybe get the game sometime in the future. And sorry Arbiter, the most important of them is a clarification about the possible Origin requirement. It must be possible to get an answer on this before this year is over, it's been a heavily discussed topic for months now.

Somewhere between 50 % and 60 %.
I picked 50 % though since 60 % and above seems to insist on taking sides, in this case the side of liking Mass Effect 3 and I don't like taking sides.

Overall, I don't think it's going to be a bad game, maybe a bad story but not a bad game. I just feel mostly indifferent about the game.
I'll still get it on the first day if I can, because I'm sure there is some form of fun to be had in one way or another and I want to finish the trilogy. There's something nice about finishing a trilogy.

The lack of consequence of certain choices and the treatment of renegade choices has disappointed me a lot as well as cartoon villainy. 40% or 50% at the moment. I hope things turn out better in the final product.

Edit: Oops didn't see the capslock rant.

Still, the multiplayer, lack of Michael Beattie and squad have disappointed me somewhat.

I went for 40%. The direction BioWare have taken since EA bought them has left me really disillusioned with them. I'm sadly expecting another Dragon Age II, which was still a good game that I enjoyed, but had WAY too many issues for me to be able to recommend it to people.

I'm somewhere between 50% and 60% myself. I edged to 60%, mainly because I do still plan on getting it on Day 1 (so far), and that I do think it'll be better than ME2.

The thing is, my opinion can change up and down depending on the news. If I'd been asked after the initial Gameinformer article then I'd be at about 80% or maybe even 90%. After multiplayer was announced I'd have been damn tempted to choose 20%.

i just need your overall feel, i intend to collate all of these votesand produce an analysis of them. with luck BSN will know the truth that trolls and haters are trying to bury, that ME3 is not as bad as they would have us all believe. voting will close 12pm GMT on december 24th analysis will be posted within a couple of days

I'm hyped, that's sure, but i fear the RPG part will be secondary...I don't hope so, I wanna play an RPG with an excellent shooter component, and not a TPS with some RPG elements but I wanna trust Bioware!

You can't make any relevant analysis on this votes. This is a fan site, even with a bad game, the majority of votes would be in the highest options. Even with an awful game it would happen. It's the same for all fan sites around the net.

60%.

I'm still happy with the game itself, but a few features have me a bit worried/seem unnecessary, but I'm open to them and won't judge till I play it. It's still on my pre-order list and I really hope it achieves what it's set out to be.

So, you make this poll to somehow prove that people with legitimate concerns and fears are wrong? That everyone criticizing aspects of the game is somehow trying to bury the truth about the inevitable and absolute greatness that is ME3? The game none of us has played yet, the game we basically all use the very same informations to form our opinion about?

Man, are we lucky that you are here to finally prove the "trolls and haters" wrong with scientific methods! Image IPB

I picked 90%. The missing points are mostly story related - I don't wanna see huge plot holes and logic issues in ME3 than I had to face in ME2.

you have completely misinterpreted the purpose here.
correction firstly we have seen more than enough content, to know how good or bad ME3 is shaping up to be. the aim of this is NOT to "prove wrong" people who have valid concerns and people genuinely do, i myself am worried about multiplayer, but that doesnt make ME3 bad unlike "trolls and haters" im talking about the "ZOMG MULTIPLAYER YOU SELL OUT A**HOLES ME3 WILL BE SH*T" types would have us believe.

the aim is to show what the actual reaction has been and reassure those who are unsure and thus targeted by trolls and haters.

remember when multiplayer was announced?, these forums lit up the night sky with flamers, trolls, haters and other unsavoury types, there was barely a hint of common sense anywhere in any threads for at least 2 weeks before things calmed down, and people who were unsure were presented with "evidence" by trolls and haters as to why ME3 would be awfull and why they should agree with them.

the purpose is to show the "ME3 will lie down in a gutter and die/bioware has sold out" crowd what the community actually thinks and indeed BSN as a whole.

if i came here and said trolls and haters are all wrong, you really think people would pay attention? im more likely to be flamed and trolled abit and then the thread dissappears after a few days.

whereas if i show with evidence why they are wrong and shouldnt hold such opinions in the manner they do, then its much harder to argue with and thus people are more likely to pay some attention. end of dicussion

It does feel kinda weird to see that my own interest level seems to be lower than alot of other posters who are more critical of ME3 than I am. Image IPB
