This was some idea of her mother's and she knew it all along. It was the only reason why she was with me.
I turned her down ...
-----------------------------
No, I'm not going through with that idea. It's ridiculous. An idea created by your mother cannot be good. And now you want to follow her plan even after you had me kill her. You are truly a witch.
Who knows what kind of hellspawn this child will be, after all it will have half the soul of an arch-demon. IF I survive, I'll probably have to create another branch of the Grey Wardens to hunt it down and kill it.
Plus, you won't tell me what you are planning to do with the child. Have you proven yourself that trustworthy? No you have not.
Additionally, I do not believe it is my sole decision to make here. An entire country rests on what happens in the battle and I am not going to rely on your incantation, Morrigan. To do so would be selfish. Even if it means saving my own life, I won't risk all we've fought through only to let the arch-demon go if something goes wrong.
If that means I die, so be it. I'm fully prepared to do so. I will not even mention this to Alistair. Mentioning it alone should net me a sock in the mouth for even considering it.
You are a very evil woman Morrigan, not unlike another evil woman ... Morgan le Fay. She had a similar plan and brought it to fruition, to ruinous effect. I won't let you repeat that.
------------------
So, that was it. She got mad, turned into a dog and ran away.
Well, that really put a crimp in my plans. Half my offensive fire power out the door, not to mention crowd control. I had even bought her a book to increase her skills recently. She got Death Hex with it. That was a good spell. And now it's gone just when I need it the most. Cost me 22 gold that book.
Must sleep now, if I can ...

I've been using Wynne quite a lot in my current PT. Usually I use Morrigan. The strategy is a little different with Wynne, but she actually is not as bad to work with as I first thought.
Anyway....Morrigan. What can you say?

If you have an archer who knows Scattershot, that is good crowd control. As is War Cry + Superiority for a Champion, or Holy Smite for a Templar. Bombs are also your friends. You can doo eet!

So, then I went to the Market. I've heard this is an easy fight. Well, I didn't find fighting the general to be all that easy. Firstly, I could not just pull all the ogres then deal with the general alone. Several ogres came too, including a yellow. I chose the Redcliffe guys to help and for the most part, they just got in the way. My rogue Warden almost died because he kept getting knocked off his feet. Finally, we won.
Next up was Palace gates I believe they're called. I chose the Dwarves to help, which included the Legion of the Dead. Before we even get to the battle area, I lost one of the Legion to an Arrow of Slaying. After that though, it was fun. I love how the Emmissaries try to hide in a gaggle of grunts.
I thought the next area would be the tower, but no, we went into a courtyard. I am trying to save the Mages for last, so this time I chose the archers to help again, after all they were great at the first battle. This was a big mistake. I was up against 4 Emmissaries/Alphas and a couple yellow, small dragons. My team wound up catching the attention of the mages, and my Warden got Curse of Mortality, which was lights out for him. My team was almost wiped. However, I resurrected my Warden, and counterattacked. I managed to get to the first mage and dropped him. We got on a roll and took them out one by one. It was over at last.
I really made a bad move here. I should have chosen the Redcliffes or Dwarves again so they could run ahead and draw mage fire. They are good at that. I won't make that mistake again. I lost about 12 archers.
I guess the good thing is I have roughly the same amount of each army left ... 38 of each, plus 12 mages.
Anyway, that's where I'm at now.
Please don't tell me what's coming.

That's prosecutable in my country. I think that male players just want the dark love scene, and if morrigan was a fat slobbering girl instead of a hot attractive woman, we would see a huge swing in decisions at the end of the game.
Just saying, Bioware seems to encourage thinking with your 'smaller' brain.

I thought this was weird. Morrigan essentially rapes you under pain of death if you are a male. Even if your character is openly gay. "Oh yeah, if you don't sleep with me, you will probably die. No biggie"

I apologize in advance for any emotional scarring this induces, but it seems... appropriate to post this:

After an hour and a half of micro-management, the arch-demon is finally dead. Alistair gave a good speech about how he should be the one to do it, but I wouldn't let him. I knew what I was going to do a while back. It was my destiny.
So, yeah, that was a heck of a battle. I didn't mind it too much until the A-D jumped the chasm where I could not reach him. Then he started raining hellfire on my head and the blue spirit balls when he did not even have line of sight! THAT was irritating!
The other enemies were pretty minor. I had more trouble keeping Kardol alive than my own team. Even First Enchanter Irving was low on health most of the time, and I believe he died, even though the prologue said he was doing a great job with the Circle.
I was running around trying to get my team out of range of the A-D, and ran up one of those ramps. Well, Kardol and a few mages followed me and got stuck up there. Then, they would not come back down.
The final fight was just my team and maybe 4 mages. I think choosing the mages was a good decision here. They could fire from a distance, even though I didn't see many high powered spells from them. I saw Lightning and several mages tried an AoE, but never managed to get it off. There were a few fireballs that seemed to come out of nowhere, but I don't know if it was them or the A-D.
None of my group died, which was incredible. I would consider this one of the toughest battles in the game, probably the toughest, if only because of its length. I drank a lot of health potions and healed many times, even healing Irving and Kardol many times. Arl Eamon seemed to do ok on his own.
Once I got Mark of Death on the A-D, I could really go to town on him.
So, yeah, I'm glad I killed him. Alistair gave me a good eulogy at the end. I was touched to see Connor at the ceremony, but shocked not to find Dog there. Hmmmm. Man's best friend?
I'm surprised some of the other teammates didn't say something. That would have been cool for them to have stood around, just the companions, made comments, then left, never to be assembled together again. Sorry, I'm a Tolkien fan.
So, yes, it's over. Game time ... 205 hours. I've played this game almost every day for 3 months. I don't ever remember playing a game for this long. What am I supposed to do now when I come home from work? I am rudderless! LOL
My thoughts on the game ... well, it gets an A+ for story, characters, voice acting, visuals, spell/talent variety, music, sound effects, and giving you a feeling of accomplishment and power as you grow in levels. Challenging enemies and interesting world to explore too. Best cutscenes I've ever seen in a game ... you and your team are shown in their current outfits ... very cinamatic. One of the best RPGs I've played, right up there with Baldur's Gate 2.
Some of the negatives would have to include not a very wide variety of loot, no battle log (I was forever wondering how much damage I was doing, and what kind), and that camera ... sometimes it made me want to put my fist through the wall!
However, the positives far outweigh the negatives. Bottom line: great job, BioWare!
I really enjoyed the game and talking to you all about it.

It's not so much that she'll kill you if you don't, which would probably be prosecutable, as much as "Doing this will save your life", which isn't as easy to prosecute.actionhero112 wrote...

Although that part about "what if Morrigan was ugly" sounds amusing to me.
