Found this trailer for the Dawn of the Seeker CG anime. All credit to NeoGAF for finding it.

So yeah, its got explosions and blood and stuff. And golems working with Ogre darkspawn. And lots of blood mages. And dragons. And more explosions and blood.

And seriously, Mike Laidlaw? What's he doing in that video? Didn't you guys try to stress how this franchise isn't 'Devil May Cry' or 'JRPG'. I mean, way to inspire confidence. One moment ago I look at Mike Laidlaw saying some bs on the forums, and then I turn around and see him doing the exact opposite.

I swear, he's trolling us.

Yes, Mike Laidlaw, the creative director for the Dragon Age franchise, appeared in a video to promote an ancillary product of that franchise simply to troll you.

We'll have to use something far more insidious next time to hide our true intentions. Maybe commission a large statue and then, at the unveiling, read aloud a saucy limerick.

More seriously, of course, there's no disconnect, try as you might to paint one. Dragon Age, as a game franchise, is not going to turn into a Devil May Cry'esque action game. Nor will it turn into a JRPG. Much as Mike Laidlaw has stated before. Sharing a universe and a franchise with an anime is not going to turn Dragon Age into something it's not, much like how Dark Knight was not an animated film simply because Batman Beyond exists.

But hey! Opinions.

Yeah. Let's avoid the moderately offensive photoshops, please. I know we're better than that, sooo I'm just going to edit that and we shall say no more about it.

And Anachronox was fantastic. I would buy the heck out of anything resembling that.

As many others have discovered, taking developer's names and giving them 'witty' nicknames that play off them is not considered acceptable in these forums. If you can't show basic respect towards others, you will not be welcome here.

How does one say: "suck it up, princess" in a manner of basic respect? Because it might be called for.

Well, I'm not certain how, but allow me to give you 24 hours to contemplate this question.

In that time, you can also consider why basic civility and avoiding personal attacks on others (from developers to other posters, in fact!) is not a topic that's really up for discussion.

So this Kroitz dude has been banned for asking that question ?
I bet it was "Rules of Conduct's" 12th rule (read: ban without any reasons or any warrning)

All that I've asked is that users remain respectful. This is a rule I apply towards everyone on the forums, whether towards staff or other forum members. If a user is unable to follow this simple rule, then they are given a time out to consider why this is not a particularly onerous request.

If anyone thinks they were banned unfairly, I am always completely willing to listen to their side of things, and have (on several occasions) gotten bans reversed if I felt that I was too harsh or hasty in my original actions. I am far from perfect, and am quite willing to admit that I can be sometimes err on the side of heavy handedness.

Ok, thank you for clarifying that.

No problem! I am always happy to clarify things. It makes the forums run rather more smoothly when everyone's aware of what the expectations and rules are.
