Mike Laidlaw said....
"It's willing to tackle more meaty subjects and understand that there's a philosophy, not just kind of hey it's a bad guy let's get him kinda mindlessness."
He's actually right about this, assuming I'm understanding him correctly. Ghost in the Shell likes to tackle philosophies and there is a very deep element to the GitS story.

Hey, the Darkspawn in Awakening were smart enough to use the Golems in Kal-Hirol -- and not all were Awakened -- so it's not like this is something that can't happen at all.
So long as Bioware was thorough and put a Golem Control Rod in there, since the Awakening Darkspawn had one.
Or the Darkspawn were able to forge their own Golems.
But that would be silly.

Well, the graphics look fine, definitely. Didn't tell us much about the plot, though. And why is it called anime when it's simply CGI? xD
Well, considering that in Japanese its supposedly titled "Holy War of the Blood Mage" I think that sets the stage. Add in the titles on some of the concept art and I'll take a stab at the plot in that it involves Cassandra and her Seeker buddies being tasked by the Chantry to investigate blood mages who are using blood magic stuff to awaken dragons and demons and stuff to make Michael Baysplosions at some big Chantry building/event thing and have dragons do stuff.
Only thing I'm wondering is when this takes place- before, during or after DA2?

before. I think it details Cassandra's rise to Seeker status.
Pretty sure the American title will be Dawn of the Seeker.

Uh... can anyone tell me who the various DA people are? I don't watch a lot of interviews, so I don't recognize people by sight, and the Japanese at the bottom obviously wasn't helpful to me XD.

Honestly if it weren't DA I wouldn't give it a backward glance but I'll probably give it a look.

First guy is Mike Laidlaw. Second is Matthew(?) Goldman, the art director. The third guy is Mark/Mike something(The Japanese is Daraa, idk what it actually is), the executive producer. I'm not particularly certain of who any of the DA people are, so those are just direct transliterations... Someone with a bit more knowledge will have to work out who they really are.

Well, there's a number of possibilities in articles (the/a/- x2), prepositions (of/on) and numbers (-/s x2), but "Holy War of the Blood Mages" is the most likely candidate. Anyway, agreed on all accounts. It's as blah and meh a trailer as they come and I wanted to commit physical violence every time "negative space" was brought up.Brockololly wrote...

And their names are actually given in the Japanese in the top right. The bottom text is subtitles.
