So I'm doing another career (Infiltrator-actually, re-doing it) and as I progress through I come across these power junctions in a few of the side missions. They always are marked witht a target indicator. During my very first playthrough, I shot at them until they blew up but it didn't seem to have any noticable effect on anything. So in subsequent playthroughs I just ignored them. Now, during this playthrough I started wondering what the hell was the purpose of them. Has anyone discovered what they are for and does blowing them up serve any purpose. Maybe I'm dense in this regard by missing something...Any thoughts?

I think they're just things you can blow up. Convenient if an enemy is nearby.

Aside from one particular side mission they just damage anything nearby, other than that there is no real reason for them.
