I've heard others were having problems like this, but I couldn't seem to find an answer. I purchased Dragon Age 2 through Steam a while back, and just recently purchased the new DLC (Legacy) from the Bioware store. When I try to run the installer, it informs me that "Dragon Age 2 is not Installed," though it clearly is. How can I get around this problem?

since when is there a stem version of DA2? - I'm searching for (dragon) ages^^

I updated (my non-steam-version) over the game intern update mechanism. Have you tried the steam DLC-Page?

If I recall correctly, DA2 started out as a Steam offering, but when EA made the change to Origin from the prior digital download system they had, Valve yanked the game off their systems.

That would deminish every hope for a DLC-installation unless you'll get an installation routine from EA/bioware which recognizes the steam installation paths...

OR you could try to forge the installation folders in the registry (i.E. tell the system that DA2 is installed on the system and located in the steamapps-folder).
The installation then would install the DLC-Content there.

Its a far fetch, but worth a try. If you need a blueprint of these values and keys (and assuming it won't violate the board rules if I hand it over) I'd gladly provide them :)
