Just thought I'd let you guys know that the patch for Skyrim released today is heavily bugged. No resistances will work anymore. Meaning if you chug a resist frost potion, or cast a resist fire spell ,or have a ring with electricity resistance. It won't work. And it applies to resistances that are already active and disease and poison. You can probably read more on either the Bethblog or their forums.

Thanks for letting us know. Ironically, bug-iness caused by a patch, and not removed by it.

Everything appears to working for me like it should. Dragons actually come to fight me to, including this one dragon that would always hide behind a mountain and never attack unless I shot it with an arrow over the mountain it was hiding behind.

I''m only using one mod, one that changes the female underwear to a chainmail bikini, I like it. And I did change the mouse stuff in the ini file.

The patch actually also fixed the issues I was having with moving the crosshairs and using the compass menu and going into the Map and Skill sub menu.

It also makes dragons fly backwards occasionally and a few other weird anomalies that didn't happen before. I would hesitate before downloading the patch, it might be smarter to wait for the 1.03 patch to come out.

New Vegas apparently did it as well.. <sigh> Gamebyro why must you be so buggy?

Does this patch fix the 360 textures bug or does it just add more problems?

I only get on Xbox Live when i want to download something, so I'm good to go on not having the patch dropped on me.

I wonder how long it's gonna take for Bethesda to fix this mess? Are we going to get another patch in two weeks, or what?

When steam patched my Skyrim I couldn't even start it, but I could fix it - took me some time to figure it out though.
Had to remove the TES.exe and the launcher.exe, then I used ''verify integrity of game cache'' to download the working files via steam. Works like a charm now, also fixed the sound issues I had and the game feels a tiny bit smoother.-

Steam patched mine automatically. I looked up and it said finished downloading Skyrim. But it started up fine, I even used the 4GB app to start it up and it worked.

Makes me glad I'm a 360 player who never gets on Live. For once, that pays off for me!

They might have a patch to fix the patch, so I wouldn't just not download any updates.

Only if you want to stay online. You can neglect the update and play offline without having to download the patch.

Sucks to be it, Bethesda. So much for looking forward to said patch.

I've had no issues thus far with the patch. Game seems to be running more smoothly, if anything.

Works fine for me. I haven't thoroughly tested resistances, but during the brief encounters I experienced, the frost and fire resistance items seem to be working. I fought a dragon and he was definitely flying forwards.

Previously, there were a few keybindings that were wonky and it seems this patch has changed those, but inadvertently that affected my key bindings because I had adapted them to match the game.

For example, prior to Patch 1.2, whatever you re-mapped forward, back, left, right, did not work for rotating locks, only "A" and "D" - same goes for a few other keys like "R" etc.

I was using some Numpad keys for forward, left, back, right and I outside the game (using my mouse driver software), I had remapped "A" and "D" to some extra buttons on my mouse.

Patch 1.2 fixes the keybindings, so that whatever you mapped to the "left" and "right" function now works for rotating locks, as well as navigating the menus.

Now my mouse buttons no longer rotate locks and my arrow keys no longer navigate the menu, which is as it should be, since these functions were supposed to be mapped to the keys on my NumPad.

Nevertheless, I had grown accustomed to my own workaround, so it takes some adjustment. The upside is that I now have 2 keys on my mouse and 4 unused keys on my numpad available for remapping quickslots or other functions.

Anyone tested the patch out on the 360? I'd like to know if anyone has experienced problems thus far.
