Thats actully the first pratical dual wielding of handguns I ever seen.
Also Heater, Mythbusters and any gun myths they test I automatically ignore given they are in the "great" state of California. Harsh gunlaws, lack of real fire arms experts in the state, and lack of other legally avilable ammo, make most myths they test dead in the water in that reguard. Hell you'ld do better sending a letter to R Lee Ermmy on Mail Call.

Guns have recoil? Check. Guns have to be carefully aimed at the target to hit it? Check. Guns have to be reloaded? Not really, the heat sinks have to be ejected from time to time though, and you need a free hand to manipulate the gun.
Even within the mass effect universe dual wield would be simply stupid.

Of course not. They're fans. They themselves would have to figure out what they mean.
And as interesting as real gunfight mechanics are I wonder why everyone's ignoring the big question mark of Shepard's augmentations or the glaring exclamation mark of robots and aliens doing what real humans cannot...

Because they're aliens and robots. You can explain it away in lore. It's a bit harder to do with humans because we know what humans are capable of. Unless they're upgrades in some strange manner.

If your going to dual wield do like this Japanese Yakuza Assassin in a blue suit I seen in this film some years back, just get one guy with alot of clips to fallow you, and shoot just one pistol, then when its empty, you take that hand and reach it behind you while you bring up the other one and start firing, the dude behind you then grabs the empty one, reloads it, and puts it back in your hand just as the now empty 2nd pistol goes back to him, and you raise up the now reloaded pistol. He kept up a pretty stable barrage of nearly endless gunfire.
Thats actully the first pratical dual wielding of handguns I ever seen.

You HAVE seen the show, right? You have looked at the firearms they have used? You've seen that every one of them is in fact a real firearm, from the .38 revolvers, through the Colt 1911 pattern 45s they used in the "Hollywood shooting stances" myth, all the way up to the Barret Light .50 they haul out on rare occasions?
And that the ammo they use, which they sometimes do closeups on, is real ammo? Usually FMJ, sometimes hollowpoint?
The state of legislation in California does not somehow invalidate the laws of physics.

how else would shep or anyone else use melee attack or class abilities like throw, not to mention it's very inaccurate that way to hit stuff
maybe a soldier class only thing since they do nothing interesting, other than that it's a bad idea

In all the videos except the first one, they are WILDLY inaccurate. The M16 is the best example of that. Look at the spread, and that's at about a 10ft range.
The USPs are the closest to being accurate. He does actually hit the thing a few times. No idea how far away that is though.

It seems a lot of you people have not play left4dead or Saint Row 3. Or, any shooting games, dual wielding is very effective you know how to use it.
HAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHA
Oh man. That was a good one. Thanks, internet.
Anyway, the only reason ever to dual weild is the coolness factor. And since Solid Snake>>>everything else, I'll stick to one gun at a time.

hey man, akimbo/dual wielding glocks on mw2 are no joke that obviously means it translate to real life. it is modern warfare duh. obviously in the mass effect universe in the future it would be even better.

OK. I give up. You anti dual-handgun guys are 100 percent right.
Two handguns = total BS.
Miranda's Bulletproof catsuit and Jack's Bulletproof leather nipple straps = totaly believeable.

Did I not address that when I mentioned, "non-space suits in space is dumb?" They should have something completely sealed and also more protective. If I was not more clear, then yes, I agree, It's stupid. However, you mentioned something like "NASA guys probably hate this stuff," so I replied to that. At least that aspect isn't so bad in terms of feasibility.
EDIT: despite their outfits, the vast majority of their protection comes from shields though. N7 armor, at least in the books, is not terribly effective after your shields go down anyway. Bullets still ripped through people pretty fast. The armor's most effective use was to apply medi gel to damaged areas.

Two wrongs don't make a right. Just because one aspect of the MEverse was damaged, doesn't mean they should JohnWooify it further by introducing another bad idea.
Oh and for the record, I avoided using Miranda on missions until I installed AAP2. Jack remains a problem to this day. Best to have her maintain the biotic bubble, and that's it.

No I don't think so. Mythbusters busted the myth that dual hand guns actually is a good way to shoot a gun and be highly accurate. In fact you are more likely to miss your target than hit your target.

This discussion though does bring up an old article I read on EGM, where this former soldier commented on Solid Snake's proper stance while using a pistol. In that same article he also derided Lara Croft's dual wielding and stated that Snake would kill her in a second.

Simple reason why Shepard having two guns simultaneously equiped is daft. One hand occupied for biotics, the other occupied for guns and probably omnitool. Also that omniblade. How much multi-tasking do you want from Shepard? He/she is already doing three things at once if he/she is a sentinel. Having two sniper rifles on top of biotics and tech powers?
So Shepard misses his/her aim with all of the tech/biotic powers, and misses with the sniper, trips over (balance must be a bit wobbly if going comando with two sniper rifles) and gets hurled up in his/her own throw field and then accidently applies cryo blast on him/herself. Ooops. Shepard dies from multi-tasking.
Actually that isn't realistic, if Shepard is a woman, she'll have no problem handling the dual sniping, biotics and tech powers.
[/quote]
Dual wielding HANDGUNS! should be a alternative for those who wants it, as an upgrade. I'm pretty sure if the option is available, Shep can put one gun in a holster while doing Biotic, if I recall right I have even seen Shep do double omniblade charge against troopers.
Jezz what part of the suggestion did I say assault rifle, shotgun or sniperrifle as dualwielding. I suggested handguns and SMG.
People, please if you have anything intelligent to add for this debate I will welcome it, but calling people by name and implement them as stupid for liking this. Don't make your points any sharper it will only makes you look like a big a-hole. A debate is the most civilize tool to argue about X/Y. There are some written rules about the conduct against our fellow mates and some unwritten, because it belongs to the common sense that people should understand it already.
