Seriosuly, a volus with a sniper rifle and shotgun oated in heavy metal plating with a helmet that looks like Sauron. Hopefully, we'll get an MMO.

The volus can't run. The volus can't duck (behind cover and stuff). The volus can't do anything but waddle around. Is this a serious question?

Due to the lack of animations in the engine. They can be modded in.

Animations and mechanics aside, most volus are merchants by nature - Dwarves in Space, with a breathing problem.

How exactly would the backstory fit of a gun-toting volus?
When was the last time in the mass effect universe have you seen the precedent set?

Not a serious question :P Feel free to make a fanfiction of it though, I'd genuinely take a look to see how it'd be pulled off. It wouldn't be hard for him to roll into cover. Stealth would be difficult due to the breathing, though.

No, they can't simply because of their volus characteristics. Volus don't have knees. Volus are shaped like beach balls, they can't run. Has nothing to do with the engine.

Why doesn't Bioware make a Volus Specter? Because they've been bought out by EA and EA doesn't care about the fans! They're just greedy and want to make millions and millions and millions of dollars by producing games that nobody wants! I plan to be the first one to dare post a thread exposing this on the BSN!

Because they couldn't get Danny DeVito or Joe Pesci to voice him.

A couple things

> At the end of the day the video game industry is an entertainment business... EA is a corporation. Their goal is to make money..As much money.,Thats how business works..

> "producing games that nobody wants" EA has done some snide stuff in the past but you're just talking irrationally here.

>"Exposing this on the BSN".. Expose what??? LOL. That EA wants to make money so they influenced Bioware to make certain changes and add certain features..

Because they'll just fall on their faces and roll around on the battlefield all the time.

Volus can't fight, hence why they're a client race.

But I doubt this was a serious question.

Wow. You KNOW thinks have gotten bad on BSN when the community can't tell a "real" post from a joke.

I don't know...I think the urge to kick him to see how far he'll go may be too overwhelming.

At least at my end. >_>

Well... if you stick explosives all over his body and then you send him rolling, yeah it's some sort of weapon.

Because he would be defeated if the enemy missteps and kicks him over. He'd be as useful as a turtle on its back.

Never going to get a squadmate but a volus voiced by tim curry to hang around with on the ship would be amazing.

I was gonna say "because they're not a council species" but that wouldn't be the right reason.

Elcor squadmate. VA by Christopher Walken. FTW.

Of course, if ANY of he Vol Clan were going to show up and kick ass in ME3, it would have to be BIOTIC GOD. Prepare to feel the Divine Wind break upon you.

Because Bioware can't seem to get Danny Devito to come and provide motion capture data for the skeletal model.

Volus are never fighters really. Maybe on their own planets, but those apparently have pressure levels that other species can't live in.
If they got shot their pressure suit would break and then they'd die right away.

Who the hell would want a volus squad mate? What would they do? Manage your financing?

While there's no Volus squadmember we have two equally lulzworthy squadmates in store for ME3 that haven't been officially announced yet.

Hyperbole much?  Those characters are no where near as bad as a volus squadmate would be useless.

Sadly, one of them really is as much of a stretch as a squadmate, if not more.

A volus could serve a role on the Normandy, as Joker does, as a named character, and that would be more valid and just as interesting than if they were a squadmate. I truly thought there would have been such a character in ME2 before it came out.
