The Thanix Cannon, which destroyed the Collector Cruiser in two shots, is now spread all throughout the Turian military (and likely other militaries). EDI played an integral role in defeating the Collectors on several occassions.

1. I repeat NOTHING is assured. The Reapers fleet curbstomping the Citadel is very likely yes, but assured? No, there are a ridiculous ammount of variables that may or may not come into play. 

2. Monotoring how? Watching how they interact? Watching they're petty squables? Has he seen EVERYTHING the races have to offer? I doubt it, because I can pretty much guarantee that in ME3 there will be some cool OMGWTF piece of tech that the alliance, council, or whoever has up their sleeve. What kind of (game)story would it be if it was impossible for the protagonist to win. Especially if it's a game thats continuing off of two installments. 

As for my definition, it doesn't need to cited because pretty much anyone knows what assess means, but if it makes you feel better.

3. I don't necessarily disagree, but the main difference is that even though these pieces of tech used Reaper techonology as a starting point its still different in its own way.

Please don't speak as if we're a hive mind. I never liked Cerberus; I always though they were a corrupt, and selfish organization of human supremacist terrorists. This news only reafirms my existing distaste for this fictional organization.

Yeah, Hackett was "so freaking sad" because that relay explosion could trigger a war with the batarians and the humans, when the Reapers were not even a year away from invading.

That's a pretty legit concern.

By the way, Hackett has earned my trust. I can't say the same for TIM.

Sovereign monitored their communications, like the Geth. Sovereign also had access to all of the Geth's knowledge (via the Heretics) and a lot of the citadel's knowledge (through Saren). There is no way Sovereign didn't know how advanced the galaxy was, and because of QE technology, the rest of the Reapers knew too.

If they wanted to plant Reaper tech among the populace, why not just leave behind some artifacts or what not? Why sacrifice one of yourself for no apparent reason?

In any case, I apoligize but I don't feel like debating this anymore. I am utterly convinced your theory is wrong, but I acknowledge everyone has different perspectives and for all I know, ME3 will prove you right. So I wish you well and I shall depart this thread.

Tell me this if they were true bad guys and aligned with the reapers then why in the hell would they have brought Shepard back  to only then turn on him . Its stupid and makes no sense at all . A real bad guy would have killed his or her chief enemy and not even brought him back to life .

I myself have a love/hate relationship with Hades' Dog. But more importantly hate that BioWare claims to have written them as morally "grey" and shoves "stupid evil" down our throats with depictions such as Overlord/Teltin.

Why not make them full-blown space naz.is from the get go if that's what the intention was all along? At least a lot less people, myself included, would no longer be on the fence. No but the writers prance around and sugar coat it for whatever reason and call them morally "grey". If the writing were sloppier I'd have to compare it to prison food.
