Um...right. So the only reason you hate Cerberus is because of TIM? And as far as I'm aware he has never said that they are good people.

Considering that TIM gave the okay for all those projects that I find revolting and sadistic? Yes.

And he's trying to justify every thing he's doing, while not even attempting to show any kind of remorse for those people that died just because he can have whatever.

Cerberus would've done just fine without having to introduce that idiot.

Because no other Ceberus leader would make the same decisions then?

Your argument is weak.

Reading most of this thread has me facepalm. Please, for the love of god, tell me half of your arguments aren't simply trolling.

(Except for SwM, I know he's metagaming)

Prime example of someone who thinks he knows how I'm reasoning when I'm playing the game solely based on what "faction" I belong to.

By the way, take your whining about metagaming to someone who cares, and come up with some real arguments for once that don't involve Renegade butthurt (because all Renegades must be in bed with Cerberus, right? Right...) because I honestly don't care about how I'm playing a damn video game, and if you think something that childish will hold up an actual argument, you are sadly mistaken.

And those "holy" Internet rules about metagaming aren't the least credible, because this place has never had any kind of credibility whatsoever.

So come up with something new for once that isn't a horse that's been beaten to death.

No, because other people would never put ONE guy in charge of so much.

Especially after so many failures. I'd seriously consider replacing that idiot with people who can actually get the job done without throwing all my money in the drain if I was in charge of one of those corporations that are supporting Cerberus.

Considering you mentioned you don't need the Collector Base due to ME3's spoilers... *roll eyes*

All the failures can't be blamed on TIM. And who are these "other people"? TIM was one of the founders, so it makes sense that he's in charge.

When Cerberus does something great, it's OMG they're awesome! Saviors of humanity! We need them, a response to asari commandos and STG!!!

When they do something bad... awww, it's just bad writing by Bioware!

Of course they can be blamed on him. Just as much as he can take the glory, he can take the fall.

Besides, if he's in charge of the projects (and he often is), then they're his responsibility.

To be fair, the whole Lazarus plot reeks of bad writing as well.

And SMW, I won't "shut the **** up" because you tell me so in a PM.

Once is a mistake, twice is a trend. Overlord's biggest failure is not what happened to David, it's Cerberus/TIM making the same "mistake" as Teltin. They choose to cut corners and it bites them in the ass, but they continue to do it because they have no responsibility.

TIM has monitoring devices on the Normandy. Clearly, he can be as involved as he wants to be. When he turns a blind eye to a cell, it's his own fault. Especially when things like Teltin already happened. He's created a system of 0 accountability, and that's why Cerberus fails chronically. And that falls on the man-in-charge.

That's more than enough justification to throw away a valuable weapon against the Reapers. It's bad enough that TIM's true intentions are unknown (aside from the romanticized pro-humanity BS he tries to push on you) so it's unclear whether or not they will make use of it for good or for bad. But given their track-record, you can count on them creating an epic disaster out of it that might even wipe out the galaxy even quicker than the Reapers would.

The Collector base is just a Reaper Slushie Machine anyway... I've got one of those in my kitchen (only made by a different company than the Reapers).

I sacrifice all sorts of fruits and vegetables to it... grind them into indistinguishable goo... place them into a new body called "The Cup" - and then, enjoy all my malevolence!

I don't have to meta-game to know I didn't need the Reaper's household appliances to beat them.

When the Slushie Machine company invades your house and know how to trash all your other appliances, you should be wishing you knew how to defend yourself from them.

His kitchen can create bio-weapons, particle-weapons years in advance of contemporary physics, implant-technology to radically increase the ability to bend physics with your mind, and produce air/space superiority fighters?

Shh, don't let Saphra or Dave hear you. They'll say that you're a immoral Paragon with no visions of the future, regardless of your intents.

And yet, he's expressing his thoughts about you openly.

That is far more worthy of respect. It's not the opinions you have, it's what you express in private versus openly.

Not really how I see it, since this isn't exactly a place of free speech, but whatever.

@CrutchCricket: The Reaper is not a "child" - you're using anthropomorphism.

Machines do not go through developmental stages.
