Honestly - I believe SWM has been hating on Cerberus long before spoilers... that would make harping on his use of spoiler knowledge largely just taking acception with his use of "I told you so."

NOTE: I could be wrong - perhaps SWM used to love Cerberus and has only now changed his view - please correct if mistaken.

Too bad.

I thought you were better than that.

Say what? Excuse me? So BSN trolls now even engage in PM intimidation and then have the nerve to judge when their intimidation was refuted?

He's always hated Cerberus, he always used metagame to justify his position however and kept mentioning how Cerberus is trying to kill you in ME3 and that's why he would always blow up the base (only getting in arguments shortly afterward, possibly rage-leaving the thread by saying he doesn't care and metagame is a weak argument).

lol must this be "serious business"?

Fine. The Reaper is referred to as a larva (a developmental stage) and EDI makes several birth analogies in its description.

Also there's no anthropomorphism in Mass Effect. That's crazy talk.

What the hell is this thread even about now? It seems to have just devolved into petty scream matches between users. (as usual)

@CrutchCricket - no, of course it doesn't need to be serious.

You see how wrong you are now? I hope so - otherwise, you're either a stupid bleed heart Paragon - or a douchebag spiteful Renegade.

First, more than likely.

Second, nah.

I just had a bit more respect for their actions then, when they didn't try to cover them up with lies and do what most people would find to just be disgusting.

Like with admiral Kahuko (or however you spell his name) in ME1. He got too close and they killed him for it. I didn't like that, but I can see the reason why they did it.

Sure, it's less easy for me to see why they're using Alliance soldiers as bait for maws, but at least they tried to do something good with it. Even if the way they did it was pretty dumb.

In ME2, TIM pretty much sacrifices whole damn colonies, on a hunch and didn't even admit that it was wrong. And attacked a ship in the quarian fleet while not even trying to minimize casualties and then says it was nothing personal. There goes the little sympathy I had for them down the toilet.

*sigh* I thought we've been through this... poor people, please stop posting, you clearly didn't have the opportunity to take a logic course in college - and since everyone on here is a master of logic, you clearly can't contribute.

It IS a weak argument, because all you're trying to tell me is that I should look at it from Shepard's perspective and react accordingly when I have no reason to do so beyond the roleplaying aspect of it, which I don't really care about either.

And there are plenty of people on this forum that are breaking that wall, but you're not whining about metagaming when they're doing it. Not as much as when I'm in the picture.

But please, if you think you know so much about me (which you probably don't, since you react like you haven't seen me in any other discussion) please add to it.

SWM is just mad that Cerberus attacked his beloved's flotilla. That's what it's always been about with this dude.

I like Cerberus, I hate "stupid" Cerberus. Ieldra had a thread about it a while back.

He risked one colony and his tactic paid off, allowing you to save two-thirds of it. If TIM had made no effort to draw the Collectors in then you'd never saved the colony at all. Tricking the Collectors into allow him (TIM) to choose the battlefield was a brilliant move on his part that saved many lives.

Oh I can imagine it was a very traumatic experience for the quarians.

The incident probably spawned lot of kinky porn.

Except... you're arguing with people who do care about it, we're arguing from Shepard's point of view and your argument against is by mentioning Cerberus is evil. When people are saying "Based on the information/logic at the time", don't argue that Cerberus tries to kill you in ME3.

And there are plenty of people on this forum that are breaking that wall, but you're not whining about metagaming when they're doing it. Not as much as when I'm in the picture.

Except we're... not talking about other discussions? I'm mentioning the general behavior you have related on this topic, which is true. I could easily browse previous Cerberus threads and find a dozen posts fitting the above description.

That's it? I just wrote a comment as to why, and you're taking that little part of it (out of context too) and ignores the rest?

And what was it you wrote before? "F**k Cerbeurs haters?"

Okay. F**k you too, then.

That's the highest level of discussion I'll ever bother to get involved with when you're calling anything out.

What amazes me - is that we often "claim" we want more than just "black and white" in our fiction.

All people like Saphra, Dave, and Kaiser argue about is their "White" view against SWMs "Black" view...

And vice versa.

I don't think I've seen very many people ever say: "Well, I could be wrong - but it's still how I see the situation."

People's views will always be Black and White - always.
