I am attempting to kill Amaunator's Avatar on the unseeing eye quest. As far as I can tell, it isn't actually possible to kill him, but I am hoping that someone else knows a way. So far the only time I have been able to damage him is when I used the rift device on him, that did 590 damage and got him down to near death, but didn't actually kill him. I use the ctrl q cheat to see if he had one of those invisble rings that prevents him from dying, but he doesn't actually have any items other than a generic quarterstaff. His AC is -15, he has 600 health and his magic resistance is 100%.
So far, no actual weapons seem to do any damage, it just says he is "immune" to my damage. I am thinking that maybe I can kill him with a vorpal weapon, so I am currently trying to kill him with the axe of the unyielding, which has a 10% chance of a vorpal hit, but so far it does not seem to be working.
Does anyone know of any other strategy I can use, or if it is even possible to kill Amaunator? Also, if I do kill him, how much xp would I get?

Planetar and the Silver Sword both have vorpal hits, you could try those. What about thief trap damage, they seem to work on almost everything.

Shapechange into Mind Flayer and using INT drain to kill works on pretty much anything that can be hit, i.e. is not immune to whatever enchantment level the mind flayer hits at.
From your description it sounds like he's just 100% immune to damage but can be hit, so that might work.
From Shadowkeeper (you're looking at RIFTG03.cre I think): 600HP, -13 AC (a further -2 from 16 DEX), 100% resists against everything, all saving throws 1. So you could hit him with Malison and/or Doom to have some fun with save-or-else spells, or just use those that have a penalty (e.g. Finger of Death to kill him instantly). His INT is just 9, so two hits as a mind flayer should suffice.
After using the rod to get his HP down, he should also be susceptible to a PW:Kill or Symbol:Death. Oh right, and he gives you exactly 0XP for the kill.

That's odd, because I can definitely see this item using Shadowkeeper.ARKdeEREH wrote...

The resource is "avatar". Look that up with NearInfinity if you wish to know what he's invulnerable to.
