I was inspired by an article I wrote today (link is here), and figured: "Why not?" Let's use this thread to talk about sexy video game men, including Bioware's own characters. What male game character do you find the most attractive and why?

My virtual heart will always belong to Alistair:

The lass tells me Jiub is 'pure sex'.

I believe it's the voice that does it.

OMG, I wouldn't even know where to begin!

I actually, no, I lied. I know exactly where to begin:

Still Atton after all this time. If only they had given him a real romance instead of teasing you for the entire game. <_<

I'm a straight guy, but I m comfortable enough with my manhood to admit that they did one heck of a job with Alistair and Zev as far as the "dreamy hero" thing goes...

I also thought that Anderson in ME had a certain distiguished appeal, but that may have been more the man's strength of character than pure looks.

I'm going to have to throw my lot in with Alistair as well. Never before in my 21 years of living, and nearly 16 years of gaming have I found myself actually RUNNING back to my xbox (I do not exaggerate here) to further explore my PC's budding relationship with this loveable ex-templar.

I've read over both your lists FoxHound, and I just completely agree with your assesment of his character and overall yumminess. He manages to pull off sweet, sexy, naive, and charming all with the quirk of his virtual lips. On every.single.playthrough I end up romancing him, even with starting intentions of romancing someone else. I always have to reload a save and go running back to him.

Thankfully, my actual boyfriend has long accepted that Alistair owns my video game heart as to avoid any confusion when I start talking to my friends about how I have to stop almost every five minutes just to kiss him, bloodbath included.

Although I'm also straight, I'll throw in my 2 cents anyways. Although Kaidan will probably be considered the hunkiest in the list of BioWare's character roster to date, I would personally vote for thane. He has one hell of a lot more backstory, and is a more sensitive soul than the more straightforward personalities of Ashley & Kaidan. The history he has is a bittersweet one, which implores you even further to explore the relationship. Also, dose abs:

OK, so mine is a little off-the-wall. I've had a crush on Rei from Fist of the North Star: Ken's Rage for quite a while now, and I really can't explain it.

Maybe it's that he always says, "unless you know love, you wouldn't understand me". Aww. That, and he wants to show me the beauty of his "nanto suichoken"? I can even overlook the 80s hair for that.

Something very sad happens to him in the game, though. Waa.

Oblivion's Adoring Fan, who strangely enough is less annoying than his alter ego in Skyrim, Cicero.

Well, aside from Alistair and Kaidan, my other choices would be:

Seifer from Final Fantasy VIII:
Posted Image

Ethan Mars from Heavy Rain (he gets naked in the game too, so that's nice. :D)

Posted Image

Travis Touchdown from No More Heroes: Posted Image

I've also always thought Soris in Dragon Age Origins was adorable too. Too bad he's your cousin. =(:

Hmmm....I had to actually sit down and think about this one. I'd really never thought about it before. I've no intention of posting random pictures of these characters but if you're interested, you can always look them up.

In no particular order....

Ethan - Heavy Rain - There was definately something about him that drew me in. I've never really been able to explain it. It was likely that they just did a lot of work to make his face match his emotions which drew me to him as more of a "real" character.

Kaidan - Mass Effect - Ahhh....that wonderful Biotic that Bioware tried to throw away in ME2... I'd say his romance was one of the more real ones they had portrayed and he was handsome to boot. He perfectly complemented almost all of my Shepards...

Sterkenburg - Atelier Rorona - Better known to most as Sterk, he was both a protector and a messenger of possibly good or bad news. I always felt that for a drawn character he was quite handsome and I actually liked his personality. I can't understand why in Totori they insist on acting as if he is terrifying to look at (because he really isn't!). However, a story from the Blacksmith in Totori really did me in one day. He recalled how Sterk had saved Rorona (just helps the chivalrous side of his character) and then nothing romantic had happened between them! I was both laughing at the irony...and crying for their poor relationship that could've been....

Kayron Jarvis - DarkStar One - ^_^ Well, you don't actually get to see more than his face for most of the game, but that won't stop me from putting him down as a hunk! As a pilot he had some hilarious insults for his enemies that kept me going for days and I actually rather liked his appearance. He wasn't air brushed like some video game hunks and it gave him a more rugged feel.

Alistair - Dragon Age - Oh air brushed sweetness! LOL. Not a single flaw? Well...I can think of some, but I can't deny that he was "hunky".

DoubleH - Beyond Good and Evil - Considering most of the characters were other species, there was little to choose from here, but DoubleH's quoting of Carlson and Peters coupled with his gentler compassionate side earns him a spot at the top of the list. I'm sure if you could strip off all that armor he'd have an amazing physique. That armor isn't likely made of alluminum foil after all!

Fenris - Dragon Age - Almost forgot about Fenris... With those dark eyes and that deep voice, it would be hard to not classify him as a hunk. Sure he's not excessively muscular, but I think the excessive muscles can sometimes detract from the finer features.

Without being ****** (I'm straight as can be), I dare to say that Adam Jensen is one of the most "hunky" video-game characters of 2011.

Maybe this guy could seem somewhat out of place here, but you need to play Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine to understand why I've fallen in love with Captain Titus. He's so badass. And DAT VOICE.:wub::wub::wub::wub:

Edit: And I'm a sucker for British accents. <3

Gannayev of Dreams from Mask of the Betrayer.

He's sarcastic. Cynical. Arrogant. Intelligent. Charming. His ability to dream jump makes him interesting.

How he evolves, as a person, through-out the game is absolutely outstanding. Not only is Gann the only romance option I've *WILLINGLY* pursued in a game, he is the only romance option I've ever truly enjoyed.

Still Atton after all this time. If only they had given him a real romance instead of teasing you for the entire game.

If Obsidian had been given a reasonable deadline for KOTOR2 i imagine Atton would've been amazing enough to create an unstoppable fangirl army that would eventually take over the world and force us all to worship his greatness.

I admire him in a manly way, after all

I understand. Manly way or not, it's impossible not to love Titus.

And yes, Life is the Emperor's currency; spend it well.

How can you not love THIS smirk:

Kaidan is perfect to me. In every way.

I like Alistair as a character and his romance was super cute. But I don't particularly like his looks...I'm not that much into blond guys *shrugs*

I despise Zevran. Looks, voice, personality, everything! Just thinking of him makes me want to go scrub in the shower...

Balthier from Final Fantasy XII. That voice... *drools*
Posted Image
Didn't like him at first. Too arrogant. But he grew on me. Best male FF character so far.

From FFXII again: Vossler
Posted Image
His outfit is super-gay, but I like his face even better than Balthier. Nice voice, too.

Oh, how could I forget my teenage pixel love: Jin Kazama from Tekken!
Posted Image

Used to dig Kilik from Soul Calibur (I forgot he looked so young!)
Posted Image

Kaim from Lost Odyssey
Posted Image

And of course Noctis from the upcoming FF Versus
Posted Image
Best male character design ever in a JRPG! I've got a thing for Asian features, or mix of Asian and Western features in this case.

I agree on the guy from Deus Ex. Haven't played the game yet.
