I'll be the first to say that if you gathered all of the Kardashians in single room, they wouldn't have enough talent to fill a dixie cup. They're still an interesting clan to watch, however. And they air on an Entertainment network.

I don't need the History Channel to bring me the Redneck Ruminations of Larry the Cable Guy. Just Sayin'. I think he's terribly insulting to Southerners along with the rest of the History Channel's Bumpkin Backwater Lineup. There is a limit. Should be anyways.

EDIT: Why I watch the Kardashians: This is the same family that gave us Robert Kardashian who defended OJ Simpson - a man who turned lying into an art form. They don't do anything unless it's in front of a camera. Kim's fame was built around a shameful sex tape. Attention is their oxygen. And yet, the mother - Kris Kardashian - has turned the infamy associated with the Kardashian name into an Empire. Endlessly fasinating.

Whoa, whoa, whoa Kim Kardashian has a sex tape floating around somewhere? That's news to me. But anyhow I like shows such as Pawn Stars, American Pickers, and American Restoration because the objects and stuff they deal with is interesting and can have some history behind it.  But, History Channel use to be good, shows like IRT, Swamp People (which is funny too watch on occasion) and Life after Man don't belong on the history channel.  My God it's called the history channel for a reason, so why is there a program on there about the future.

I miss the Hitler Channel

Actully there is an...well crazy story behind that. Well its ran in part by the same folks that have killed dozens of networks, but the new logo "History Everyday" is used as a justification, that everything that happens is history. So they could actully...make a show about people taking a dump, and it would fit with the new networking model.

I like some sitcoms and I hate others. I have trouble expressing a feeling toward an entire genre of entertainment. Same with reality television. I don't much care for shows like "The Real World" or that Kardashian crap. However, I did enjoy "Fear Factor" (Does that count as Reality TV?). And I will watch those VH1 shows like "Flava of Love" if I am in need of a laugh. I will also watch most anything on NatGeo, Discovery, the History channel, Travel channel or Food Network. That being said, I don't watch sports and thus I don't watch sports shows. I don't dislike them. They just aren't something that interests me.

I hate tv in general. I have to consciously give a tv show a chance for me to able to follow something. Reality tv is garbage, never bothered. I watch news or a good football match up or basketball if the NBA ever gets their **** together. I like a couple of ESPN sports shows, Jim Rome is Burning. My thing is music, movies, vijiagames, and books.

I mostly stick to watching dramas nowadays but I used to love watching oldish sitcoms like Scrubs, Will & Grace and even Reba. I can't watch the current ones like How I Met Your Mother without my soul dying a little.

Sitcoms are the bomb. They are practically a part of American Culture.

Please go into more detail about these evil folks, what other networks have they destroyed?

Well the leading share till here lately was NBC Universal, aka the fine folks who screwed TTV and G4, and made syfy, or aka comcast. Now its leading share holder is the Disney/ABC group....wonder what direction they'll take it.

What's wrong with sitcoms? It's not like they have an evil message, lol. Fresh Prince, Will & Grace,  30 Rock, etc. All have good meanings and are funny! They've been around since the television was invented!

I dont watch too much tv (I get most entertainment from movies, videogames and books) but I do love Gavin and Stacey, The Inbetweeners, Being human (the original British version, not the terrible American version) The Office (The original British version) and Friends. Thats about it, I think they're sitcoms? I dont really know tbh, but I love them all. Although Being human could be considered more a drama, it's got some horror elements, comedy and alot of emotional stuff, a good mix.

I pretty much hate reality shows. And for sports it deprends what sports, some I like, some I dont.

Sitcoms

Ehhh, they're all right sometimes.

Reality TV

Blegh! (unless it's one of those ridiculous sadistic Japanese ones)

Sports

No.

Now I can understand Sitcoms and definately "Reality TV", but what's so bad about sports? Unless you are griping about some of the people playing said sports, which I can understand since many of them can be big crybabies.

The only Sitcoms I like were done in the 90s(Seinfeld, Just Shoot me,etc.) but apart from that yes to all three. Free to Air Australian TV is getting saturated with them and American crime shows too which I hate with a passion.

sitcoms are alright, and i dont watch sports so it doesn't phase me (although the ads, at least here in the uk a ****ing annoying) reaility TV can can die in a hole and the hole can be nuked from high orbit and the remains incased in concrete and fired into the sun.

I used to watch sitcoms in the mid to late 90s. Then I suddenly... stopped. I watched Friends for years and quit somewhere during its penultimate season. For whatever reason the entire genre lost steam after Seinfeld finished its run. Maybe I was tired of the same old, same old, and seeing every show that introduced a refreshing idea get cancelled.

Nowadays I stick to one hour programs with comedic elements in lieu of situational comedies. It's way more satisfying to watch say, an episode of Psych than it is the Office or whatever. But that's just me, obviously.

Sports shows... I haven't watched those since I was thirteen or so. Back then I cared about sports.

Reality TV is not to my tastes. I followed the early Real Worlds and a few spin offs back when the genre was picking up steam, but otherwise not too prolific. I lost interest as their premises became increasingly outlandish, and they felt more and more staged. Reality TV is why I get a lot more reading done than I did a decade ago. I should be thankful.

I think reality shows are the worst thing that ever happened to TV, mostly because I have to endure my co-workers talking about them.
