Yeah, its not like this new shotgun is mandatory to use.

Well, the new shotgun seems more fitting with caster classes. The shotgun is said to be amongst the most accurates, so classes such as the Engineer who are squishies should be safer shooting that weapon while you pick different targets so you could bleed them out and increase damage output, and if they are left with a few HP use a short cooldown power such as Throw to finish them off. I for sure am going to give it a try to the shootie with my engineer.

Also, Nova is gonna the new "awesome button". Can't wait to see how is the Nova evolution tree, maybe it could trigger biotic effects as Warp does.

Oh man I so called the Vanguard's new power being a Jax-from-MK-esque ground pound. Pretty clever how they implemented it too. Vanguard is gonna be even more edge of your seat than ever lol.

The host. He's a bit annoying, but his voice is really bad for video work. He needs to stop...

I never saw the need for hosts. They always rub me in the same way as having someone read to you something written that you are able to read yourself -- that is, poorly. Superfluous.

^That belongs to Chewin3's ME3 Co-Op blog.

Check Known Features thread for that blog.

Graal seems very good for an Infiltrator as well...

Does the Soldier class get any love? It seems like Vanguard is the Dev's favourite child.

The Soldier has AR...that is still probably OP...

Like in ME2, the Soldier gets his developer love in the way they've made all aspects of combat better, including weapon customization, weight based loadout and inventory system, probably some soldier specific bonuses for certain high level weapons, the faster and smoother animations for things like movement, reloading, weapon switching and traversal.

Oh and thrown grenades are back.

Basically, you can now have a customized arsenal at hand, with weapons geared towards defeating anything you can come across, with the ability to switch between them much faster than in ME2.

I have played soldier twice I think in Me2, but each time I got bored pretty fast.
It's mass effect, you have six different classes and to choose soldier which is not much different then playing, I don't know, GoW? Soldier needs some cool powers. AR didn't convinced me.
I like grenades in Me3 so far, I'll see what can soldier give me when I try the demo myself and maybe I'll give it another shot in final release, but first of course Vanguard then Infiltrator.

Another idea/issue... As I've watched all the demo videos of Me3 for each class, I noticed the players have problems hitting enemies with omni blades. They misses most of their attacks.
You have to be really close to hit them and it takes some time for Shepard to make a hit while enemy could avoid attack. I think they should allow Shepard to perform an omni attack while running/walking, you know, so Shepard wouldn't stop when you try to perform an attack.

EDIT: I just know this will be frustrating, especially on hardcore - you miss and you probably get killed.

Guess why I like the Engineer's heavy melee so much.

Because it won't miss at that range.

Umm, not really. What if the enemy moves left or right?  As far as I know, when you hit the heavy meelee button you can't move your mouse and aim until attack is over. Or I'm wrong?

I plan on using Nova and THEN using Charge, rather than the other way around.

Unless the situation is safe for a Charge and then Nova, I'll be Nova-Charging from person to person, hah.

Why not Nova, then charge, THEN Nova again? That way, you can maximize your dps, assuming that you can survive after depleting your shields.

If I'm interpreting this correctly and Nova is a biotic power, then why would it drain shields? I thought kinetic barriers were separate from biotically-produced barriers? (ME2 gameplay mechanics notwithstanding, of course)

Nova only detonates your biotically-produced barriers, not kinetic shields. Sometimes the devs mention shields instead of barriers and get mixed up between barriers and shields

Well, shields and barriers are pretty much the same thing, only difference being that the biotic like the Vanguard is creating his/her barriers by sheer willforce.

I'd guess Nova demands a lot of energy, which they can't waste on shields at the same time.

Kinetic barriers are created through small shield emitters that are located all over the wearer's clothing.

That's just it, assuming I can survive after depleting my shields.

I'd rather be safe and use Charge to give me the shielding I lost due to Nova than get my shield back only to waste it so quickly.

I can NovaCharge-Nova if there's only a few enemies left, but you have to do it in the right circumstances.

You've got to play the Vanguard intelligently if you don't want to die in every fight.
