Everything's looking great. But won't lie, wish we could see something else other than combat all the time. Like armor customization, presentation of in-economy/stores and/or vehicle exploration...

That was ridiculously awesome!
The Nova power, Adept heavy melee, Cerberus turret, enemy AI... All look awesome.
And the shotgun seems to be very fun to play with.

I liked the gameplay stuff, but the funniest part was probably Silverman's talk about the N7 Collectors Edition, when he described the metal case it comes in "sport[ing] commemorative artwork of Commander Shepard, both male and female - <points at viewer> - yes, we listened!"

Overload looked pretty cool. I'm not sure if Nova will be practical/efficient on Insanity though.

I like how the class melees are a little dynamic, engineers good against armor, Adepts have a knock back, and so on.

The shotgun with bleed looks like it would be great for an Engineer or Sentinel. Mid-rangeand bleed for extra dps I wonder if the bleed damage will get double damage versus frozen enemies. Cryo Blast->Shoot and move to next target while bleed "shatters" em.

The torch on the assault rifle is interesting. Darker environments could be pretty exciting to explore, and it can help add plenty of tension. I may be stretching things a bit here, but this could indicate stealthy missions or maybe even missions with a survival-horror vibe.

Chain overload looks AWESOME.

Nova looks pretty nifty.

The new shotgun looks absolutely brutal.


Altogether the gameplay is looking a lot smoother than it did in the previous games. Good episode imo.

Here's hoping so.

I assume they're keeping cloak, and hopefully improving it, but I'm really curious to know what their new power will be. Its probably my favourite class and I'm dying to know whats new about it. I'm hoping for a set of class videos like ME2 had where they went through each class in detail.

If we don't see any of that stuff sometime in Jan or Feb I'll agree with you, but for the time being no biggie in my book. 

Honestly half of the fun for me is finding out a lot of stuff in-game, somethings I rather find out on my own behalf. That's just me obviously.

That's silly, if you don't care for the hosts, just skip to the middle of the video. Shame too because the combat is awesome! Played last night and  I <3 the flashlight.

Question about the combat difficulties, if you don't mind.

On most of the demo videos to date, I've noticed that when Cerberus enemies swat-role or prepare to take cover, they have this tendency to -pause- for an extra half a second before or after. Where a player would role and then keep running right as they get up, the AI have a heartbeat of just -pause.-

Will the enemy move more consistently/less pausing on higher difficulties? 

I can see the use of the pause as a balancing device. Giving that extra second right after a role, or before leaping over cover, allows the player to focus on that enemy in a moment of weakness.

But if it were a big quicker, it'd look smoother.


Just my 2c.

I'd like to add a note on the adept's grab shield ability. The hand animation makes it look like he is throwing or projecting at the shield, which looks sort of visually weird or contradictory to the shield being pulled away. I would like to see this hand animation look more like a pulling motion than a throwing motion.
