I glimpsed through the first 4 pages, Kazanth. Most of it's essentially the same that's in this one: Mostly dissapointed, some see it potentially working. It's not a firestorm of hate, but the nerds are not too pleased. A couple people thought it was an early april fools joke :P

I still stand in the same position: We'll see the full information in the issue, then we can rage.

This isn't gonna end well.

What's next? A Black President?

pft, like that will ever happen.

Anyhow, seems interesting. I have never been a fan of SouthPark, but I wouldn't mind seeing how this develops.

I think a South Park RPG has the great possibility of being better than other South Park games.

I'll be interested to see how this develops. I like South Park and it has the possibility to be a big hit (or a massive failure).

In the meantime:

It should also be noted that Obsidian (particularly the dude above) are very good at either ****ing about RPG tropes or at deconstructing them within their games.

Obsidian games are rife with commentary and deconstruction of tropes and trends. KotOR 2's plot was centered around the deconstruction of one. Lol. (Party control - how they follow you around doing what you do, regardless of their own character)

That'd be perfect for the South Park setting.

I'm terribly confused by this, but it certainly seems interesting. I loved the South Park FPS back in the day.

It's doubtful Chris Avellone will be involved in this project. Make a Feargus trollface instead.

Do not want.

I mean, it'll be interesting to watch being made and such but I'd rather have Obsidian's writing staff be used to it's fullest potential. Not... this. :(

LOL this is hilarious.

I called it back when Chris Avellone tweeted something about working on a new RPG based on animated franchise several months ago.

Haven't played a south park game since that FPS one back when I was 9-10. That seems young for South Park, where were my parents?

Look, South Park is genius (though hit-and-miss) and Avellone is awesome, but... WTF!?

No, just no.

Look, I'll give credit where credit is due. South Park is often quite clever in their satire and each episode does have some reasonable message behind all the mayhem.

But what the ****?

As an Obsidian fanboy who loved alpha protocal and FNV, this make me sad.

Using the label "RPG" pretty loosely I'm guessing..

But I'd buy it. "Gritty" and "grey" seem to have been the buzz words of this generation and - truth be told - I'm more than a little sick of them, something with a different character would be a nice change of pace. I hope they do a good job of it.

First Bioware with that dumb picture of an unknown game and then Obsidian with what? South Park?! I would prefer The Simpsons!

Actually both Developers are trolling and laugh at us!

If ever there was a time to trot out the Human Revolution meme this is it. Because I sure as hell never asked for this. XD

Ah well. It was inevitable Obsidian would develop a game I had no interest in buying. When a company is as small and mercenary as they are, such is inevitable. I watch South Park sporadically, but it would be a stretch to say I'm a fan. If this game generates positive reviews and word of mouth, or is at least described with gameplay features that pique my interest, I will buy it. Definitely not a preorder, tho'.

Don't mind South Park. Generally like Obsidian's work. Will probably end up buying. As long as NAMBLA isn't a joinable faction, I'm good.

WHAT? D:
I would really like to join NAMBLA. I'm almost identical when compared to Marlon Brando from the right angle.

I've never seen an episode of South Park before so I'll reserve judgement until more information is released.
