I don't think so. Male Hawke's all seem kind of pudding face to me. I've tried making several. Of course all the one's I have made had no facial hair at all (Not even stubble) so it all stood out more. I guess?

Considering Fiona's hair colour had magically changed by the end of The Calling it should perhaps be taken with a grain of salt.

I don't recall that, and even if it were true an author's mistake in wording does not make the book any less canon to the DA world.
