I hope you guys don't have a problem with putting threads back to the top. Just browsed a bit through this board and thought this thread was kind of interesting because I haven't played the games for quite some time now, so 'memories' is the right word.
Surprisingly it's usually not the "big things" that stuck with me.
Origins: The conversations with Alistair. Seriously, I loved that character. It always felt like there's a really deep friendship between him and the hero. Especially the "licking a lamp post" one, which was not only funny, but also a little bit sad and intimate at the same time. Same goes for the "let's see what the other one thinks about our group!" part. Always nice to have companions with an opinion. Yep, the first thing coming into my mind on this whole game is really something like that. No big fight, no huge cinematic.
DA2:
The part where Varric starts to talk bull**** about how he defeated his brother. Being able to play the scene with the ridiculously uber-strong Varric without knowing it's a lie at that point, then the switch back to the current time and hearing him getting lectured to tell the truth...I rarely laughed that loud because of a game. Whoever came up with that idea is a genius.
Second one: Following Aveline during her date. Very original and funny.
Third one: Meeting Hawke's mother again...you know what I mean. I like sick stuff like that, always surprising.
What's your favourite DA memory/memories?

Well, I'll present my two favorite descisions from both games:
1.) Sparing Loghain. I got into Origins relatively late, so I had already read the Stolen Throne. It just seemed fitting, as my MCousland was going to marry Anora. I had to wait a full hour to decide whether to let him redeem himself or do the DR. In the end, I chose the DR-and loved his cameo in Awakenings. (Which Alistair didn't have. Obviously.)
I'm parphrasing here, but pretty sure he said something to the effect of this "I asked her about an heir, and she got this horrified look on her face. But.. you might not want to wait much longer." Go, father-in-law Loghain!
2.) The Landsmeet. I had such a fun time on all my playthroughs here. The politics were awesome, especially the options of marrying to Alistair or Anora. I mean, when I found that in my first playthrough, I just schreeched like a fangirl in delight.
Now, from DA2 (note, nethier of these really exist):
1.) Murder-knifing most of the chracters in the game.
2.) The optional patch replacing Seb with a actual Dog companion, not a summoning ability.
My real favorite descision in DA2 was:
3.) The ability to uninstall it as soon as I import my saves to DA3.

DAO and DAA as a whole-most memorable moments below.
Battle of Ostagar. I was reminded of the Battle of Helm`s Deep.Epic.
Loghain`s betrayal - again, the cinematics, the heart-wrenching music, and those fateful 3 words that bring down a great man.Duncan`s eyes as he sees the lit beacon.
The spirits at the Gauntlet. Deaths of the Cousland parents.Everything Orzammar. The prison-break - favourite quest of them all.
All the companions.Morrigan`s friendship.
The Grand Oak<3Why I loved you,I was not sure,eh...Perhaps it is Fred Tatasciore.
Landslide victory at the Landsmeet and Loghain`s Joining. Loghain,in general (pardon the pun=]).
His "one life" speech after Riordan`s revelation.Him becoming a friend and most trusted ally.
The Coronation with everyone alive,Alistair married to Anora.
Meeting Sigrun. The Architect. Loghain`s cameo. Anders and Ser Pounce-a-lot.
Senechal Varrel : "That is a terribly Orlesian thing to do.":D

My favorite 2 are:
Taking Isabella on the Murder of crows quest and my Fem Hawke having a threesome with her and Zevran, the conversation was pretty amusing (especially with funny Hawke).
Huron's Spear banter between Isabella and Bethany.

My single favorite moment of both games was that moment you reach the end of DAO and see Fergus in the landsmeet chamber! I actually had tears of joy in my eyes at that moment. I had played through as a mage first, and saw Irving present, but it never occured to me Fergus might have survived as you are forced to give up looking for him so soon in the game.
Other emotional scenes for me were the fateful battle of Ostagar, Leliana teasing the Warden/Alistair about their romance, Leliana singing, Zathrien ending his curse (and his life), the deaths of Bryce and Eleanor. Meeting the pertinent shade from the PC's origin in the Gauntlet (esp Bryce). Encountering Tamlen later in the game as a ghoul.
For DA2, any banter/scene involving Varric was pure win for me, seeing Alistair/Teagan in their respective cameos, and Nathaniel as well. Most of Fenris' romantic dialogue especially moved me, in particular the end conversation with him. Aveline's courtship quest in Act 2, (I always play after Leandra's demise to pick me up), is my favorite quest in BOTH games!

These are my favorite moments, and by favorite, I mean powerful moments where the game really grabbed me and pulled me in - whether it is a happy or sad event:
DA:O
-Playing a city elf the first time and hunting down Vaughn. I was so intense when I was fighting my way through his castle, just at the thought of what he was going to do with my bride-to-be, Shianni and the rest of the girls. My blood was boiling. And when I get there too late to prevent Shianni from getting abused, I went beserk and seeing that finishing animation when I chopped Vaughn's head off was probably the greatest satisfaction I have ever had in a Dragon Age game. Nothing has yet to come close
-Watching Isode kill Connor. I usually save everyone but I had one playthrough where I decided to see what happens if I try to kill Connor. I picked the option where I let Isolde do it. It gave me chills and I was literally stunned for a few minutes and just sat there after it happened.
-Betrayal as Ostagar and realizing Alistair and I are the last two Wardens left. I really felt like "oh man, what are we up against"?
-When Anora asks her father if he killed Cailan. Made me go "ooooooooh... interesting..."
-Loghain. I was stunned that after spending the whole game trying to kick his ass, I finally had him down and I ended up feeling a little bad for him when he accepts his defeat
-Morrigan. When she gets distraught/conflicted as you get her approval high enough. She's all awkward and it is very endearing. And when she leaves you (if you don't agree to her terms) and the epilogue where you feel her regret through her ring.
-During the final push in Fort Drakon..... ENCHANTMENT! I fell out of my chair laughing my ass off.
DA2
-Marethari sacrifices herself for Merrill. It was so touching. And Merrill's heartfelt reaction.
-Merrill's rivalmace with her smashing the mirror. I think watching her smash the mirror is the highlight of the game for me. It showed my tough love stance worked.
-Anders blows up the chantry. Total OMG moment.
-Isabela comes back

Origins/Awakening:
-Watching Oghren reminiscing about Branka literally ten minutes after he cut off her head. That was hilarious.
-Swooping is bad.
-Loghain's epic rant after losing the Landsmeet. Simon Templeman needs to voice more companions, and not just because he's Kain.
-The city elf origin. It was such a powerful way to introduce the plight of the elves
-Thawing out Morrigan and her last goodbye. Claudia Black did an awesome job.
-Sten's cookie habit. Especially when he bribes whatshisname.
-Killing Arl Howe
-Alistair's sacrifice if in a romance actually made me tear up a little.
-Riordan's death. It just cements the character as an absolute insane badass.
-Anders. He was so much more fun before he got Justified.
DA2:
-Isabella/Sarcastic Hawke romance was great.
-The Arishok. This dude was so awesome my Hawke would have joined the Qun if he'd had a choice.
-Varric, Best portrayal of a non-stereotypical dwarf in fantasy.
-DUMAT, GIVE ME YOUR POWER!

I'm not sure it's a 'favourite' memory as such but it sure as hell sticks out.
When I first played Origins I had no idea that in order to remain with Alistair you had to be a female noble and have fully romanced him etc. So when he said he didn't think there was a future between my mage and he, it truly felt like I had genuinely just been dumped. I remember the sick feeling I had in my stomach and thinking 'omg, this is just a game - why has it affected me so much?'. Then I had a similar feeling when Anders blew up the Chantry in DA2...I was just so overcome with emotion...
Shows just how bloody good they are at getting you to feel the connection between your character and their companions.

My sister waking me up in the middle of the night crying. She's crying so damn much and saying, "He keeps dying. He keeps dying and I can't stop him!"
And I have no idea what's happening. "Who? Who keeps dying?"
"ALISTAIR! He keeps killing the Archdemon and won't let me talk him out of it!"
I laughed. And then I watched the scene as she tried again in vain to stop him from making the killing blow. I thought it was rather romantic and sweet. She thought it was time to delete her character and start again.

Well, for DAO, there are too many to list. I love this game. Heck, I'm still playing it, and I'm still discovering stuff. No wonder I bought about 12 copies (aside of my own) of it to give out as presents to family/friends.
One of my favorites are the Deep Roads though. Ruck still breaks my heart, and the Broodmother still disturbs me in a deliciously horrifying fashion. Hespith still sends cold shivers down my spine, even after all my 16 play-throughs.
DA2, well....., let me think.
The Qunari mage was fascinating. I so would like to find out more about him.
Thrask also broke my heart with his own heartbreak over his daughter. I wish it would've been explored more. Thrask was one of my favorites, and he was so neglected, and ill treated in-game. He deserved better, imo.
Feynriel, also a very intriguing character that was sorely neglected. Unfortunately.

My two favourite would be:
1. The Landsmeet
2. The God Baby subplot. Especially if Morrigan had been romanced.
From DA2 specifically, I enjoyed Legacy a lot. MotA was great fun, but Legacy had the best atmosphere of any stage of DA2. It was brilliant.

Loghain and Anora's exchange before you decide his fate. "Anora hush.." for DA:O. For DA:2 I'd say talking to rival warden Carver before the final battle. "I'm proud to call you brother. That's gone unsaid for too long"
There are quite a few memorable moments many have already been mentioned, but these two struct me out of nowhere with being touching.
