well My Shepard is basically myself . he does what ever it takes to get the job done and cares about only very few things . so yeah I am already My Shepard because My Shepard embodies my own personal attitude

NO, for starters, Shepard is far too opinionated and self righteous, if well meaning... In my game anyway.

Also, I have an aversion to being shot at.

Interesting question. One thing that makes me want to say yes is because I would be a fantastic killer, something I've been (and will be) unable to pursue in my life. One thing that makes me say no, though, is that Shepard's type of life is not one I would want: always the...celebrity, I guess. I'd want a life in anonymity, something like STG.

My Shep ended being friend with Kaidan and Ashley's lover, and having to sacrifice one or the other is not something I want to do in real life.

sure. i play as 'me' shepard anyway, so it wouldn't be a great leap to actually put on the armor and become shepard.

sure, it's a stressful job, but i'm/shep is up to the task.

You think you're up to the task without militairy training whatsoever? Or am I mistaken and are you actually a commando soldier in real-life? I highly doubt it.

No, I wouldn't. I'm really not the "Marine" type. Not the kind of person to want to pick through the rubble with a gun, you know? Plus I wouldn't want all that responsibility or pressure. I don't envy Shepard at all. None of the crap he has to deal with is easy.
