Well, I know there was a call to include bot companions in Galaxy at War.  Here's hoping that ends up being an option

I am all for bots, but I doubt they'll ever be added, even post-release.

They won't. EA wants to make sure they sell as many copies as possible.

So, wait, what. According to their master plan, everyone will buy three more copies just to play with themselves? Simultaneously? Brilliant!

And I'd say that CS retail was pretty succesful...

You're really that stupid, aren't you?

No, the lack of bots or "couch" coop, means that if one wants to play with his friends, two $70 copies will need to be purchased. That was my point. The bots would discourage multiplayer, because it would mean "I'll just play with myself" and it would undermine the entire online pass scheme.

Eh. You can play the whole thing by yourself as long as you have an internet connection, anyway.

Don't even get me started on that...we have the origin thread for this...

But what if my friends don't want to play that game?

I can't force them.

Bots make you want to play with yourself?

It would appear that I am, dear glittering and shining paragon of brilliance.

1) $70? Wow, the american gaming market is getting butt effed, isn't it?
2) Here is something you may haven't thought of by the way...

-You can still find a group made up of random strangers.
-Playing solo still requires an internet connection, lol. There's literally no difference to playing solo than playing with a team, other than the fact that you are on your own.
-In the case that playing with friends, who are likely to abandon the game eventually, is crucial to the experience like what you make of the game right now...

...people are likely to abandon co-op after a while. Do you know what that means for EA?

Low DLC sales.

Yes, your logic is totally bulletproof.

Meh, I have no problems with Origin.

Sure, I don't use it that much, but no problem nonetheless.

Well, first of all, Origin account=/=Origin client.

I may have some problems with the Origin client. I generally don't store personal information on my gaming PC, and don't mind any "datamining", but otherwise I would have been sceptical of allowing an American company have access over my info otherwise. I don't trust non-EU corporate regulation there at all.

I think it has been confirmed that there will be co-op related DLC too, so they'll more than likely support it. No reason to go in half-assed on the new mode either.

Well, it depends on what kind of info it is for me. As long as they don't touch my bank account or anything financial that belongs to me, I don't really mind.

Myeah, money fraud is pretty serious, they wouldn't touch anything important. They may collect info on what bank you use, etc. They can't legally make a transcation with the info they collect, but that kind of fraud isn't taken too seriously.

Sorry for going off-topic, though.

Having played games with multiplayer, games with co-op, I can understand that some people would be interested. But I state that I don't want it nor expect it for ME 3 anymore than I would want ME 3 to include a spreadsheet or word processing whether it was single player or multiplayer--it doesn't suit the series.

For those in favor of co-op, what would be your opinion of something added to the game that you thought useless or didn't fit the series; maybe a calculator, spreadsheet, a drawing program, maybe lots of platforming or a side scrolling portion with the hammerhead? Turn ME 3 into a Swiss Knife of gaming to please everyone.

multiplayer is not required so your arguement is invalid.

Neither is single player; you could just play the co-op. In fact you can install any software and not use it.

The MP is not compulsary, neither is it essential to get the best ending therefore this article is rubbish.

;p If I can play that "multiplayer" mode offline with AI, I think it will be nice to have.. it would please the single players by offering the same thing while multiplayers enjoy company. Why not make what the multiplayer offers as single player with AI?

Unless the reader is one of those "fans" that thinks everything BioWare says is trash and then bends it all around to say that it's the opposite, even if there's absolutely no evidence of such thing besides some slightly shady actions done by the company in the past, which makes everyone of the "fans" yell about how much of a betrayal it is.

Funny how that works.

Then get a life.

Cry for stuff that actually matters to reality. Just saying... ;)

Yes, I was disappointed with DA2 but to act like it's the end of the world because Bioware is ruined FOREVER because of DA2 is just plain silly. <_<

The insults against others in this thread are not appropriate for our forums. We can (and should) disagree with each other without resorting to name-calling or insults. Much more of this kind of behaviour, and this thread will be locked.

Ghost-621, StephanieBengal and Savber100, I'm looking at you. Play nice.
