1. Galactic Readiness governs how ready your "forces" and resources are for combating the Reapers.
2. Galactic Readiness is only one of many aspects that affects the end game along with choices and missions.
3. Singleplayer has enough Galactic Readiness from side missions etc. to max it out so GR won't be a problem for getting the best ending.
4. Based off 3, MP and Apps are completely optionable and are not needed for the best endings.
5. MP affects SP by rewarding you with bonus Galactic Readiness points to use in your SP war effort.
6. MP also rewards you with your MP character as a war asset (not sure if this is part of Galactic Readiness or another featured system) once it hits level 20.
7. SP affects MP by restricting Alien races until you unlock them as allies in the SP game.
8. There will be Apps which also reward you with Galactic Readiness
Based on that:
1. People who do play MP and/or the Apps will get bonus rewards. No one can deny that. The same way imported characters into ME3 will most likely get bonus resources, levels, credits and maybe even GR at the beginning. If you play MP religiously and max out 4+ characters to level 20, you would be able to max out GR much sooner and have 4 extra war assets to use in SP. The only way this would be super advantageous is if ME3 has limited windows for saving planets and races and GR/Assets help you hang onto those missions being availabe. Having bonus GR and War assets (We still have no clue how these will work specifically ingame) may help ease the need for an optimal playthrough by doing missions and assignments in a certain order so no one's "left behind". I have no clue if anything like that is confirmed yet.
2. Regardless of the above, it has already been confirmed since the very first announcement of Galaxy at War, that there's enough GR in SP for the best endings. If there's enough GR in singleplayer to max it out by doing assignments etc., how is that different than how you would play the game without other GR options? Either way, the design of GR in SP stays the same. If Bioware got rid of MP and the Apps tomorrow, you would still have to acquire GR in singleplayer the exact same way.

Sorry, everything you wrote just became noise after I saw this. Anyone have any more info or link or anything on this?

"At a certain point in your character's progression, you will have the option to export him or her into your single-player. There, you can use your character as a war asset on the Galaxy at War map. How exactly these characters will function in your campaign remains to be seen."
Hopefully not too noisy anymore.

Ah well, I guess I'll just dull the completionist in me by subjecting the poor guy to DK64.

Bioware you are screwing over a large portion of your fanbase, specifically those of us who intentionally stay off social networking sites like facebook. Why should I be forced to create a facebook account, something I outright refuse to do just to be able to complete a video game.
So much irony, you stay off social network sites like facebook, but you have a BSN account. Way to make sense boss...
