I don't take you ****s seriously because it's very easy for you not to be on the receiving end. If for some reason the roster were switched around I bet the Talimancers and Liara/Garrus-shippers would be rioting outside of Edmonton.
Hahaha what a nice fellow you are

That's good; what with your name-calling and general rudeness, I don't take you seriously either.naledgeborn wrote...

I know for a fact that prior to the confirmation, Tali fans were indeed pissed off that it wasn't looking like that she'd be a perma-squaddie.
But yeah, Bioware has been blatantly pandering to the more vocal fanbases. I'm not going to deny it just because I like Garrus and Liara.

Its nice that you are honest on that one.
I wish it was not the case that certain fanbases got priority over one another, its one of those things were your glad you got prioritised but extremely annoyed if not because you feel like you have been ignored.
(eventhough you havent its just that there are that many fan groups its impossible to cater for all of them)

Heh what a pathetic attempt to get under my skin. Don't worry the developers at BW already accomplished that. Save your fingers' energy. Don't want them going delicate from all the CTRL+V you're doing.
Funny how even a pathetic attempt can actually get under your skin then.

DLC for other ME2 squad mates? I don't think so. What if they are dead in someones playthrough?
A small matter IMO. A person isn't restricted to one playthrough. And chances are, most people's playthroughs will have many if not all squaddies surviving.
Most people who played ME2( and ME1) only once and didn't get all squadmates surviving.

I guess Team Dextro and Liara are just a cut above everyone else.

Not gonna happen. Kaidan is lucky he is attached to Ashley or he would of probably gotten a small role as well.

Such "play the game once and thats it" players are most likely the minority, and probably aren't buying DLC anyway. In anycase, if they want to experience a particular character's DLC bad enough, nothing is stopping them from creating a 'better' ME2/ME1 Shepard. Or just get one via an internet saves archive, or use the editor.

That being said, I know the developers had the unenviable task of trying to sort this out and I can't imagine it was easy. OP, I get why you're upset, but maybe we should all take a deep breath, step back and play the game when it comes out on March 6th. Having such high or low expectations won't help provide an entertaining experience.

Miranda, Jack, Grunt and Jacob.
Kasumi is a wild card, but considering her importance to a most probable Alliance-storyline,
she might move from a simple DLC-character to both, an actual character and major plot device in ME3.
Also Jacob. Is. Another thing for Kasumi to relate to.

I disagree. LI's are not obliged to perma-squad status in ME3, nor are their fans entitled to getting them back because they were romanced.
Quality over quantity. What comes before all else is making a good game and story, not wasting time/money to pigeonhole all LI's back into the Normandy squad just to make all their fan-factions happy with the role they are getting.
For that reason, they need to take the most efficient solution: focus on the main story first and foremost, and give the rest of squad their own unique and relevant roles so all get a fair deal of screentime - second!!
And think about it: each squadmate they bring back to Shepard's squad will inevitably take away from the main story. So, bring these four squaddies back, and players are losing 4x. If one was their LI and it makes them happy, its still 3x less of a game than it would have been. And for the majority, it will really be that 4x.
On the other hand, they can give Miranda, Jack, Jacob, and Thane relevant roles that contibute to the main story overall, so that all players who romanced them or otherwise really like them still get a chance to see them again, while everyone else doesn't suffer a lesser story because of it.
And hell, give them credit for actually being important in the world, unlike our precious Garrus and Tali who are nothing without Shepard. Or for understanding they have an important job of their own, unlike Liara who's still come crawling back to the Normandy when she has the galaxy's largest data/information cache at her fingertips.
I'm not crazy about the ME3 squad. Only the VS and Garrus make up squadmates that are in my top-10 favorites (and Garrus, I'm quite bored of at this point). But really, it does make sense. Garrus, Tali, and Liara are the people Shepard can trust most. VS/Vega because, we're Alliance again (and VS has personal history with him/her).
In a perfect world, we'd all get our own favorites back. In reality, it's far from a perfect world, they need to be pragmatic and make decisions in the best interest of the final product - not individual fanbases/BSN factions.

Like they pandered to the biggest support-group on this forum and the ongoing petitions for this one character to be a permanent squadmate? (Miranda)
Let me know how that turns out.

Even if I don't like Jack and Jacob, all these characters deserve to be part of the team in ME3, especially if they are Shepard's LI.

So you're satisfied that Jack is second stringer? I get it good for you. Guess what I'm unsatisfied. So let me continue being unsatisfied in the vain attempt that it might change something. Fair enough?

Say what you want about what you're unhappy about. I'm just pointing out that Bioware's MO being fan-pandering is pretty much nonsense. They are clearly going about with the story their way, not in a way that makes everyone happy (take you, for instance, and the huge fanbase behind Miranda that cares enough to regularly petition for her squad-status).
