What is need to link one area to another for a transition? ]:

You can link a door to a door or a door to a waypoint. The door properties have these fields, just make sure you are using unique tags.

You can also link area transition triggers to waypoints.

You should also check out the tutorials on the vault..

Just as Shaughn78 said but in case you can't be bothered to lok up a tutorial here goes.

Put a waypoint ( in the blueprints just use a plain one ) where you want the door/area transition to lead to, give it a new tag eg tavern_door_in, then head to your door in the other area ( outside the tavern ).

Click it and get the properties tab, scroll down to the area with transition in it and change it to "transition to a waypoint", put in the waypoints tag and check the party transition box.

This is the same for area transitions too. Just go to triggers look for new area transition click it then click down the four corners of the trigger, select it and put in the same stuff about transition to a waypoint, the tag etc.

Then off you go teleporting all over the place.
