BroShep, as we all know has a virtual hareem of choices -  three humans as well as two exotics - that BW thinks he may need homosexual options as well - Jeez, why not throw in a sheep or two while your covering all the bases.

FemShep has ONE heterochoice in ME1 - provided you don't kill him, and NONE in ME2 - just a dying drell and buddy-sex with Garrus.    I'm a guy, but I happen to think my Femshep is a very satisfying character, who (as a racial avatar) is deeply heterosexual and throughly comfortable with her femininity.   "Gay" sex may be all the rage, but it ain't gonna perpetuate the species.

Just looking at James Vega fanthread and boiled over - this guy looks like a thug with an IQ of 60 - oh maybe he reads Kant in his spare time, is an accomplished classical cellist and competes in the intergalactic theoretical mathematics competition - yeah, sure.  But we're all supposed to be happy with this jarhead?  This year's Grunt.  I

If this is the best BW is going to offer my Femshep in the way of hetero choices, that coupled with the constrained outcomes and  channelling of ME1/ME2 "choices" is driving me inexorably into the camp of "what might have been" instead of what we'll eventually get.  Kaiden is a sweet guy with a difficult past (my para femshep romanced him once - my renfemshep left him to die on Virmire) - but either way he's no match for her, and the only male in the entire series clearly at her level is now the series villain -

BW may think its really 'with-it' to promote homoerotic relationships at the expense of heterosexual ones - but that ain't me babe, nor my sheps, Bro or Fem.

femshep has 3 "hetero" choices in ME2 - Garrus, Thane, and Jacob. Is there some reason why Jacob isn't good enough for your femshep's plans to perpetuate the species?

Actually I did completely forget about him - mentally I completely discount jacob as an LI - he's got such a stick up - ay attempt to start a romance with him is so incredibly lame I've never bothered - more satisfying to do a mission loyal to Kaiden than pursue him.  Do you really find him a credible LI?   Did his LM reveal anything other than righteous indignation at his father's moral failings and dereliciton of soldierly duty? He's just kind of a zero, and I know I am not alone in finding him such a yawn.  But yeah, if you're stuck for a date...he's there, standing at attention, no doubt.

Point is really this - Miranda, Ashley and Jack are well developed characters with depth and emotional complexity that is not matched by any of the available human male choices  - and yes, for these purposes I have a species bias.   Do you really maintain that Jacob is an in-game equivalent of any of the available women?  Kelly, who's no more than a bit on the side (gamewise), is far more engaging, attractive as a potential partner and dimensional. 

Kaiden remains femshep's the only viable choice for a hetero relationship - that and the new tank.  Garrus is buddy sex - just look at the flirting - Thane is pity sex.  The rest are women. 

The only male at femshep's level would have been TIM

Jacob being a LI is a fact, not a matter of POV. Whether you like him and his romance or not is a different thing.

This. Femshep has more gay options because homosexuality in women is more accepted in our culture than homosexuality in men. It's utter BS, but that's how it goes. And a lot of people who play Femshep love her hetero options, so just because you don't like them personally, it wouldn't appear to mean that Femshep loses out.

...I'd recommend checking Jacob's romance (probably on mute while femShep is talking) and actually checking what James will be about.

Or go and make Kaidan renegade. Always an option.

The funniest thing about LI is amount of biotics among them. My latest experimental playthrough is femShep with irrational fear / hatred towards biotic. When it came to decision who will be her LI... congrats, girl, Garrus is your only fully powered LI option.

Well, there are quite some romance options for both genders, but i feel OP/s pain if you don't like any of those, lol. If I couldn't romance Liara, then "my" shep would be single.
