Maybe they should axe all the heterosexual romances instead, then. You know, if it's just an issue of simplicity.
Because...um...I'm conservative.
Edit: Actually...it's a great idea. If they axe all heterosexual romances, they can put the extra time into creating things like a separate 'Cerberus' path through the game so people like Kaiser and Seboist will be satisfied. They can keep one gay and one lesbian romance in the game so the can say they're 'progressive'. Adding in heterosexual romances isn't really necessary and won't make them 'stand out' since that type of content is a dime a dozen in video games.
Although I'd have it that there's only one homosexual romance each game (can't have too much 'pandering') and which portion of the homosexual community gets the delcious s/s content will be decided by the homosexual community (perhaps they can take it in turns or something).
Everyone wins.

I find it weird how OP just chooses to ignore the alien LIs, which are (IMO of course), the better romances for both genders.

I'm fine with same-sex romances as long as we don't get the silliness of formerly straight characters suddenly becoming bisexual in order to pander.
Too late. That's what we're getting.

Not all of them. But in general, I personally tend to find the aliens more interesting.xxSgt_Reed_24xx wrote...

"His" girl's club thing? You must really have been confused.mauro2222 wrote...
I can't seem to remember a character telling Shepard that he/she is heterosexual. Except for Jack who actually confuses me with his "Girl's club" thing.

There's nothing confusing about the girls club comment. She's not into girls. So she'd better not be into girls in ME3.

I never thought that comment had anything to do with her sexuality. I just thought that she meant she wasn't the sort to get friendly with people...y'know, just in case Shepard was thinking of bringing in Scary and Baby.
Jack would be "Scary", I'd think.

Don't worry Mister, Jack is staying straight in ME3 I'm almost positive of it. Kind of dissapointing to me, but, I can't argue much against the girl's club line.

I beg to differ. Rightly or wrongly, I didn't get any "I'm not bi/lesbian" vibe from that comment at all. I just got the impression that she wasn't interested in a close friendship with a woman. But that's based on context, since I'm straight myself and play a straight FemShep, so I was just trying to be Jack's friend and it was this that I felt she rebuffed.slimgrin wrote...

Yep, this is pretty much the feeling I got from that comment.Random Nobody wrote...

You are deluding yourself. She's not a lesbian. The comment has nothing to do with friendship.

Not purely homosexual, but bisexual maybe.
Besides, she says she never liked the idea of a boyfriend or a girlfriend.

Prove it.The comment has nothing to do with friendship.
I personally think it could go either way, but the fact remains that people hear different things when she says that line. There's nothing concrete either way.

She says it in reference to her experimention with a threesome, one guy and another girl. The inference is clear.
