Because...um...I'm conservative.

Although I'd have it that there's only one homosexual romance each game (can't have too much 'pandering') and which portion of the homosexual community gets the delcious s/s content will be decided by the homosexual community (perhaps they can take it in turns or something).

Everyone wins.

I can't prove what the writers intended to say. I can infer though, and they meant to say she tried girls and she's not impressed. Jack is not a lesbian. If she were, my femshep would have another notch in her belt.

@Random Nobody: I don't think it's even particularly ambiguous. There's nothing remotely sexual in the context. To this day I still don't know where people get the connection.

I didn't even consider it as a reference to her sexuality until I read a post on this forum. The best argument that could be made that is indeed a reference is the fact that, at that same point, she wonders if BroShep is romantically interested in her. The problem with that is that it could just as easily be argued that it's a generic "deeper relationship" goalpost - she isn't interested in being friends with FemShep, so she gives her a polite GTFO.
