Bad Jlb! Bad!
Actually, I was thinking...cut all the ME romances except Ashley and Kaidan...but make them gay only.
That will be fun.
So...your FemShep can still go for Ash.

Then what do you think the 'girls club' comment means? I've been here since ME2 release and everyone was saying 'too bad Jack's not a lesbian' but now she suddenly might be? Seriously.

Maybe they should axe all the heterosexual romances instead, then. You know, if it's just an issue of simplicity.
Because...um...I'm conservative.
Edit: Actually...it's a great idea. If they axe all heterosexual romances, they can put the extra time into creating things like a separate 'Cerberus' path through the game so people like Kaiser and Seboist will be satisfied. They can keep one gay and one lesbian romance in the game so the can say they're 'progressive'. Adding in heterosexual romances isn't really necessary and won't make them 'stand out' since that type of content is a dime a dozen in video games.
Although I'd have it that there's only one homosexual romance each game (can't have too much 'pandering') and which portion of the homosexual community gets the delcious s/s content will be decided by the homosexual community (perhaps they can take it in turns or something).
Everyone wins.
Sounds good to me.
Now we need to get BW on board
I don't approve... no Ash mance is a bad mance.
Bad Jlb! Bad!
They were saying only one lesbian romance in the game.... that doesn't mean Ash is in. Therefore, bad idea is bad.

Fine with me as it seems the writers are willing to pander. Cut them all.

That she isn't interested in being Shepard's super BFFFL. That she shows no romantic interest in FemShep leads me to believe she's straight (or just finds her really ugly or something), but the line isn't really indicative of anything either way. Then what do you think the 'girls club' comment means?

Nah. She shows no romantic interest in dudeShep either, he's the one who starts that. She doesn't even show sexual interest in him; she accuses him of sexual interest in her. He can either agree and shag her right there, or turn her down and state his romantic intentions, but either way it's his actions that drive hers. femShep can't make any such actions, and Jack isn't suspicious of her intentions (though I'm not sure why not; the one user she tells us about who acts anything at all like Shep does toward her was female), so there's no real way to tell how she'd react if she thought there were interest there.
Though there's an argument to be made that, as the tough shaved-head closest-thing-to-butch-in-the-game tattooed punk, she's more interesting/progressive as a straight woman, in defiance of stereotype. Kind of cancelled out completely by the total lack of any queers at all in ME2, and the fact that she's the one squadmate in either game who's had girlfriends or enjoyed sex with women in the past, though.

There's no need to write such a rude response. I may be wrong about what the writers intended the comment to mean, but I didn't claim Jack is a lesbian (since, clearly, she's into guys); I didn't even claim was bi. I'm simply saying that my interpretation of the comment is not contradicted by the game. Seriously, I know lots of women who prefer the company of guys as friends compared to the company of women. There's nothing in the game that contradicts that interpretation of the comment.slimgrin wrote...

Maybe. But she never seemed even remotely "butch" to me...or masculine at all, really. But that may be because she reminds me of a giant (potentially psycho and murderous) kid, and a lot of Shep's responses sound like she's talking to a little sister.tough shaved-head closest-thing-to-butch-in-the-game tattooed punk, she's more interesting/progressive as a straight woman

I wasn't being rude there. But I feel the need to point out the obvious fact everyone is ignoring. When the game released this wasn't even in question. Jack was clearly straight.
