Miranda's romances had some good dialogue but the sex scene was..... awkard and... Yeah
Tali in general comes off as a fangirl and gets forced on you.. even if you're mean to her for the most part. ( Excluding the loyalty mission )
Jacob. was pretty decent but arguable the cheesiest of them all. I hate Femsheps voice during these scenes too
I like Garrus.. But the romance with him came out of nowhere...
Liara basically hits on you because you were touched by a beacon... Plus it doesnt take much effort. However LOTB was pretty good for reconciling the romance
Jack... In my honest opinion Jack NEEDS A FRIEND!!! Not a boyfriend... She needs a loyal friend. She shouldnt be in a relationship in my opinion.
As far as communicating throughout the romances, I thought Thanes, Ashley's and Kaidans came off as the most believable.
Most Mass Effect romances are .. Meh IMO

What's wrong with Miri's romance scene? And imo Jack needed someone who actually cared for her and would like her the way she is, be it a boyfriend or a friend, and Shepard can prove he does care for her in the romance.

None of the Mass Effect romances are really good. I like Miranda's and Ashley's character enough to overlook the shortcomings of their romances.
The Dragon Age team is much better in the romance department. Origins and 2 both have superior romances to Mass Effect imo.

At the risk of having my arse roasted, I'm going to go ahead and say that nearly all the romances were cringeworthy (including the VS - Kaidan's was mostly all right, but Ashley's embarrassed me), and that, for the most part, I agree about that bit about Jack, even if I think her romance was the best-written.
And then there's Jacob.

All of the romances were pretty face paced. Maybe that was because they weren't a huge part of the story (because who really wants it to be?), but I don't know. I can't think of a game that has done romances well that wasn't a dating simulator.

I disagree, the Paragon with Jack was just beautiful. The look in her eyes was touching, and a bit cathartic. I enjoyed the experience very much. That's my honest opinion.

I think Shepard being there for Jack might make her better. And Miri's scene was ok in my opinion, it had more chemistry than all the other romance scenes, and what were you expecting about the clothes? Obviously they took it off, but they had to start with some colthes on, and her scene not being on bed and pillows makes it more interesting as it's the only one besides Jack's renegade romance.SAGEHONOR wrote...

Also, you forgot about Kelly, who imo had the best written romance cause she didn't follow the same akward pattern the others followed.(talk, talk, talk, wait, wait, wait, romance scene)

I hope so. There's still unfinished business in EVERY romantic relationship for Shepard. Or does anyone believe some flirts and sex complete any romance?
No. Just three examples:
- Miranda seems to care a lot of Shepard if romanced. However, their sex scene seemed to be more steamy and ... ONSish. That image gets supported by the idea Miranda used her body as weapon ... in both senses. Now I wonder Miranda will prove Shepard he's the "big deal" for her in ME3. I don't know details of the romantic spoilers since I refuse reading them, but I bet she WILL show Shepard what he means to her.
- Ashley confessed her love already in Horizon. But since that relationship experienced a giant bump that nearly / completely destroyed that relationship, Shepard has to rebuild most of it in ME3. Also I wonder if there's a conclusion waiting for Shepard/Ashley-fans.
- Thane - I don't have any f!Shep and therefore no ideas of that relationship. Just wondering if Shepard can find a cure for Thane and heal him - and if that relationship depends on that cure.
