Which means I already have a good idea of who makes it to round two.

The Garrus fan TIM fan battle was an unusual affair.

The Garrus fans took up sniping positions while the TIM fans tried some new experiments.
After hours of battle the Garrus fans were victorious due to the fact that the vast majority of the TIM fans were killed horribly by their experiments.

Ashley and Kaidan's fans fought a reluctant melee that only ended when it was pointed out that only one of them can actually exist at any given time, they flipped a coin and the Ashley fans won, with the Kaidan fans withdrawing in relatively good grace.

Garrus vs. TIM - squee vs. pure ferocity. TIM wins!

Ashley vs. Kaidan - nobody shows up to support Kaidan. Ashley wins by default.

Tali vs. Jack - Jack's fans fight valiantly, but they just keep coming. Tali wins.

Liara vs. Thane. It's ugly. Thane fans are drowned in a sea of neckbeard. Liara wins!

The battle between the Tali fans and the Jack fans was brief but bloody,

The Jack fans scored first blood by capturing the Talimancer standard, the Tali fans responded with overwhelming force via orbital bombardment, the surviving Jack fans retreated to Omega and prepared their revenge while the Tali fans battered and bloodied held the field.

The Liara fans and the Thane fans fought a brief skirmish ended when the Liara fans activated the ancient plot armor super-weapon that temporarily made them all invulnerable, slaughter ensued.

For what they are, that is to say, an optional feature that can be skipped entirely, they're actually really good. Quite a few of them even have a clear premise that sets them apart from one another.

Aren't most Tali fans also Garrus fans though? I don't see the two groups ever really fighting. If anything, they'd team up against the other fanbases.

Anyway, for the other round, I pick Liara.

This is a battle of the most hardcore members of each group.
The ones that have little to no room for compromise.

The battle between the Tali fans and the Garrus fans is a long bloody affair.
The Garrus fans enjoyed  tactical superiority in addition to an excellent defensive position, the Tali fans were fearless with zeal and numberless.

After a six month siege the surviving Tali fans broke and retreated in disorder, honoring the tenacity with which they fought the Garrus fan defenders let them leave.

The battle between the Liara fans and the Ashley fans was to be the bloodiest of the whole crusade...

The Ashley fans knew they would have to engage the Liara fans quickly and prevent them from donning their plot armor, while the Liara fans knew they simply had to hold out until they completed the ritual which would permanently fuse them with their plot armor.

The Ashley fans managed to successfully breach the perimeter of the Liarian defenses only to find the elite "Goddess Guard" the Ashley fans were over-matched until the clouds parted and one of them caught a glimpse of awesome hair, The Kaidan fans had come...

After defeating the remaining Liara fans the combined VS fans personally destroyed all the plot armor to make sure no character ever had that kind of power again.
