Um...all of you ME romance haters know that, uh, you didn't HAVE to pursue a romance with any of 'em, right?  You could just, um, choose the dialogue options that avoided the possibility altogether.  You know, cuz it was...um...optional.  Yeah.  Just...puttin' that out there.

But, no...no, really.  You just go on and continue berating anyone that enjoyed the romance between Shepard and Tali, or Miranda, or Jacob, or whoever.  By all means, you go right on ahead and continue to make crass, arrogant, and obnoxious assumptions about their personal lives based on their interest in a video game character.  Feel REALLY good about all of that.

I don't HAVE to play the games themselves to begin with, so according to your "logic" I shouldn't  criticize them at all.

The final battle begins in earnest.

The Garrus fans following their usual pattern heavily fortify a nearby ridge, while the Ashley fans prepare to root them out...

The Ashleyites first three assaults are repulsed with heavy casualties on both sides, after a further week of fighting both sides are down to less than forty percent of their original numbers and they are all running out of ammunition and medical supplies.

The final day of the battle begins when the Garrus fans sally out from their defensive position in a desperate attempt to break the stalemate, after six hours of fighting both sides have been almost completely wiped out.

At a peace conference the following year the surviving fans of all the involved characters decide to award the victory to the Garrus fans who had three survivors instead of the Ashley fans who had two.

The Thane fans may have lost but it's important to remember that it took the hardcore fans of two characters to overcome her plot armor.

*Besides I haven't seen all that many ridiculously over the top Thane characters*
