LOL. We'll see how long this topic (and poll) lasts.

Both the Star Wars and the Elder Scrolls fanbase are examples, but not the BioWare fanbase. We may whine sometimes, but it's not as bad as some fandoms I know.

I wouldn't be here if I thought it was the worst.
No actually I find this forum to be great as I find myself coming here more than others.

Also lol @ asking this question to the Bioware fanbase.

Its not the worst fan base but it could be considered as in the competition lol. Well at least these forums are.

Not even close! The worst fanbase are sports fans. Until the day BioWare fans start rioting in the streets, I will consider them lightweights. :P

Depends on deffintion of worst.

Worst as in crybabies and trolls, then heck yes.

Worst as in poor amount of followers, then no.

LOL. At least Bioware fans aren't sending the staff death threats because they killed off one of their favorite characters, or to the actor who portrayed the character who killed their favorite character.

Yeah, that's right, I'm looking at you, Star Wars fans - and just where do you think YOU'RE going, Star Trek fans? :P

The fact that I'm here means that I think this is not the worst game developer fanbase. I think these fanbases in general are filled with people who confuse "constructive critisism" with "whine about what I dislike" and "hate rant against fanboys", but BioWare's fandom (at least what I've seen on the BSN) is actually *mild* compared to what I've seen elsewhere.

You are assuming the Bioware fanbase is fit enough for that :P.

I am but as a gamer I'll be playing games instead of rioting.

I see nothing special. Every fanbase has their fair share of douchebags, extremists, and psychotics.

Well that's because we haven't had a good chance at having everyone together to test that. Put all these nutjobs together in a room and chairs will be flying in no time (before they take it to the streets).

Someone needs to organize a riot at the next PAX! Riot! Riot! Riot! ...all in the name of science, of course. >.>

Edit: Seriously though, BioWare fans are toothless compared to the stories I hear about other fandoms.

Well, how do you determine a good fanbase? Isn't that an opinion?

No. There are many, many, MANY worse fandoms and fan communities out there. The biggest 'problem' BioWare's community suffers from is that everyone's overly passionate (and vocal) about what they like/don't like.

Why is there a 'no' and an "I've seen worse". If the answer is no, then by default the person has seen worse.

As for the question, heck no. I've seen a Star Wars forum before, and they have everything from games, to movies, the cartoons to talk about.

So is almost everyone else on the internet. It's really a matter of how passionate each person is, and based on what I've seen, this fan community doesn't come close to the sheer hate, arrogance, and stupidity that is found in other fan communities across the internet.

We're a community of passionate people, but most of us still have lives, thankfully.

Oh, I don't know, have you seen someone claiming violations of their once pristine childhood due to the actions of BioWare? That happens/ed to one of my fandoms. Good times.

Once the old forums with iron clad moderation and a very good control mechanisms went to these forums it got much much worse. In any case most of the real trouble makers on this site are not fans at all.

We suck so bad, I'm amazed the OP even stuck around long enough to post about it.

Really.

I used to think so, but then i spent a day on a Halo forum.

No matter how bad you think a group of people is, some other mob will come along and make them seem not only sane but downright reasonable.
