Every fanbase has whiners and other annoying f*cks. Deal with it.

One of the worst? probably not.
One of the whiniest and easily offended? possibly.
That would go to the Star Wars fanbase.

Oh God, I forgot about them.
One year at SDCC, I gave my free guest pass to a girl from my friend's forum.
Went on and on about how she prays to Cortana, and believes that she is the human incernation of said video game character. Then she learned one of my friends worked for Bungie, and went off on him because she didn't believe that he was "worthy" to speak to them.
Let's not even discuss Alex Winn.

No. I disagree with many, but the mods here do job in allowing dissenting opinions to be discussed.

Especially post-launch, it can be a madhouse. Overall...there's probably worse. I've also seen better - Irrational Games, for example.

No I don't. I think it's very vocal and passionate? Why would you want anything else? What else are we going to talk about, cookies? If we don't get on our high horse once in a while, what is the point of a forum? It's a place to express an opinion, to discuss, to debate.
I really don't understand the problem people seem to have with it. The fact that a generally disliked-by-the-fans game like DA2 comes out and this far down the track people are still talking about just tells me that everyone here cares. Of course people can be complete idiots at times, but if they weren't around this place would be completely pointless. You need the lowest common denominator or you can't raise it.
There are far worse fanbases out there.

I think this pretty much takes the cake.

This. The Bungie community is disgraceful nowadays.C9316 wrote...

Behind them I'd put Bethesda fans - everything Bethesda does is meet with outrage - followed by DICE's fansbase - purely because of how they treat every other fanbase out there. BSN isn't that bad apart from a few very vocal people, although the number of complaint threads is just ridiculous.

I only signed up to stay abreast of ME2 and ME3 info, but I spend a fair bit of time on here just because I love reading some of the ridiculous complaints. People get so worked up about the tiniest thing - its hilarious and saddening at the same time.

Probably not the worst but I doubt it's the best either(some of the DA2 and ME2 hate can go overboard at times)

No way. I think Bioware's fanbase is amazing (and I'm not just saying that because it includes myself). The core of the fanbase is very passionate about Bioware's games. There is alot of intelligent debate here about "what if" scenarios and "did you see that?" moments, and everyone's favourite characters, races, or whatever else comes to mind.
Yes, sometimes Bioware fans moan. But I think that's really because we've seen how great Bioware's games can be when they're on top form. I've seen alot of constructive critisism on this forum as well, lots of well thought out ideas about alternative game mechanics, which is always useful for the developers.
I've also seen alot of "omg this game sucks but I'm not going to explain my reasons" style posts here, but hey, welcome to the internet. You'll find that on every forum of every website, and I don't think those posts are reflective of the core fanbase.

A very negative thread, not conducive to productive discussion.
End of line.
