after reading the wiki, i'm confused. It says that if I kill the arashok she LEAVES?
I didn't even know there was an option to not fght the arashok.

Why does she leave if you do NOT turn her in? :S

I screwed her up in 3 consequtive playthroughs.. can someone please tell me, step by step WHAT I need to do to make her return after leaving, and continue the romance?

She leaves yes, during the three year gap between acts 2 and 3. It says as much in the codex. She has a hard time dealing with the fact that not only did Hawke forgive her for running off and lying to her(him..them?) but that Hawke stood up to the Arishok for her for no other reason then "Because I care."

So she takes off. And she doesn't come back till right around the start of Act 3. Thus the conversation about how it was like she never left.

Yepp...

Just kill the arishok. If you do, then Hawke will wait a few years to see Isabela again. But you will only have to wait ten minutes^_^
