I am at my 9th hours and havent finished any of the three main quest and have 250 soviergn to spare so far in my my team i have oghren, nathaniel, anders and velanna.
so any ideas on how to spend them?

The Amaranthine vendors have some nice armor, weapons, and accessories to pick up. At over 100g for some of them, your gold will go quickly. If you had that much left over from a DAO import, you'll have a ton more by the end of the game if you are thrifty. It's occasionally a goal of mine to see how much money I can amass.
Don't forget that you can buy class training books, rune and herbalism recipes, and tomes to respec yourself and all of your party members from the vendors at the Keep. It's a great way to optimize your entire party.

If you don't do any Runecrafting, yes, you'll have lots of gold left over.
