For whatever reason, I've never had both SOA and TOB installed on my computer at the same time, so this is the first time I've experienced the automatic transition between the two games. My problem is that my main character is the only one who has any equipment! My guess is that this is because my five companions died during the final battle. :pinched: It's nice that my characters actually gained the experience earned in the final battle (Imoen even leveled up!), but I'd honestly rather have my equipment back. Is this a known bug/issue? Can it be fixed? Would I be better off importing one of my last saves into a new TOB game?
(This is a vanilla game, fully patched, on Windows XP.)
Thanks so much!

You could just add their equipment back in. This is possible using CLUAconsole, but would take a while for lots of items - you would probably be better off using Shadowkeeper to do this.

Alternatively you could export your 5 companions from a previously saved game, then put your current save into the multiplayer save folder. Import the companions and start that up then save again and move the save back into single player save folder. Your companions will be missing the XP from the final battle, but you could put that back in with console or Shadowkeeper if you want.

Or you could use the Console to travel between areas: MoveToArea("AR2900")
One of the keys, X or L, will give you your current area number so you can move back to your place in ToB when you are done.

To answer your other question, Yes it is a very well know issue.
The tactics mod called SCS2 fixes it… there are probably others.

Thanks for all the help! Since I already had it in a multiplayer save, I did the export thing, though I ended up doing it in kind of a strange way. I was afraid that importing from a saved game would override my main character's info, so I loaded up my last SOA save and started exporting my characters manually. I've been playing with half my own characters and half NPCs, and since you apparently can't export NPCs I put all of their gear on my other characters and only replaced them in TOB. This way, Imoen leveled up and still got her stuff back, which wasn't my intention at all, but it ended up working out great!

And thanks for the info, ussnorway. I didn't even know Baldur's Gate had mods until quite recently, so I'll have to keep that one in mind next time I play.
