I am searching for good modules for Neverwinter Nights 1/2, but mostly 2, that have the weirdest companions.

The best example is Kingmaker Premium Module for Nwn1. Your companions are a Rakshasa Wizard, a Dryad Druid, a Wererat Rogue and an Azer Fighter.
Another good example is Mask of the Betrayer and Planescape Torment.

Are you aware of any similar modules, for both games, that have really unique and original companions?

My Path of Evil campaign has a necrophiliac halfling necromancer, a cleric of the Bhaalspawn of questionable sanity, and an earth genasi favored soul enforcer of Grumbar. Then there's Tan and The Tortured King, who make those first three look normal, but whose stories are spoilers.

In addition to the Half fiend there is also a lich necromancer towards the end that may join you too.

Path of Evil's Tortured King is a fun character.

Oh yeah, forgot about him. I didn't get him.

At the risk of blowing my own horn (yes, all those yoga classes have really payed off):

Dragonglade: companions include a wolverine and a dragon chick druid.

Isle of Shrines: the story line for neutral characters initially gives you a magic cat and an item that summons a ghost moorhound.

Non yet, but I'll add some for you. I don't really see why you need companions, though, when you could have an army of samurai.

I actually typically have to restrain myself, because as cool as a half-fiendish dragontouched elven sorceress or a phrenic half-troll dervish might be, it's tough to make them believable.

King's Festival+Queen's Harvest includes several companions, most are fairly standard but one is a Nehwon ghoul and one is a werewolf. Amie from the OC is also available as a companion.

They're not all that weird I guess (though one's a dryad) but I liked the companions in Misery Stone.

Did he do this as a favor to cut down on interjections?

He may have!

(Also, I will add the character came before the realities of dialog writing. I have several 5000+ characters, and even a lucky few 10,000+ characters. I'm not afraid of a lil' giant talk).

The Dark Avenger duology by Wyrin has a talking horse.

An evil talking horse.

Seriously, Chapters 1 and 2 are very good modules. You should check 'em out.

Harumph!

Some very interesting modules there. Though I would prefer most, if not all, companions to be weird but some of them did seem really original!

Basically I am looking for modules similar to Kingmaker, where everyone is weird and you are probably the most normal one, instead of a couple weird ones in your team.

Everyone is weird except you? You're not looking for weird companions, you're looking for weird settings.

A weird setting is a plus but I said and meant everyone in your team would be weird except you.

I would prefer weird companions in a standard Realms/medieval setting, to a setting like Planescape for example but with Human/Elf/Dwarf companions.

You can get and entire party of weird companions in many of these mentioned adventures. Take Tan, The Tortured King, and the Rapakivi in Path of Evil. If you can get Tan and The Tortured King's backstories, they're weirder than the Kingmaker companions, trust me. Those two are more unusual than a certain illithid and ogre mage I could have made companions instead of sargents for your keep.

The best companions seem normal at first but once their background surfaces you realize how different they are, or maybe they will just try to kill you at some point in the game. That's a little different, that tiefling or dwarf never attacked me in the OC.

Which is more interesting, an earth genasi favored soul enforcer of Grumbar or a human necromancer? A half-fiendish nymph hellfire warlock or a ranger with a headwound? It kind of comes somewhat down to a matter of perspective. I've played plenty of game of BG before, for example, where despite using all player-legal races and classes, the whole party was vying very desperately to be more off their rockers than me, despite the whole Lord of Murder thing.

I forgot about Grutur, the teetotalling dwarf!
