I didn't find any posts here about transferring ME1 & ME2 files from one pc to another pc or laptop.  Recently I upgraded to a new laptop that will more than meet the recommended specs for the upcoming ME3 and other new games.  This topic will surely be of interest to other players who are or will be upgrading their computers.

Is it possible to transfer the 2 existing profiles that I currently have on my older pc and import them into the new ME1 and ME2 installations that I have on my new laptop.  I've already transferred the files into the correct folders and successfully installed all the DLC's that I had.  However, the new install doesn't see the profiles to import and doesn't recognize any of my old achievements.  It took me 1 1/2 days to qualify on all the weapons in ME1 and I really don't look forward to repeating that if it's not necessary.  (Don't laugh at me for being such a slowpoke, I like to take my time:whistle:.)

Any help on this topic would be greatly apreciated.

Copy the entire Bioware folder from My Documents. That will ensure you not only get your saves, but also your acheivements.

You are absolutely spot on, that worked! Thank you for that suggestion, Bogsnot1. (Chat help doesn't even seem to know that pc users can keep any achievements or stats at all when transferring files to another computer.) I accidentally wiped out a new character I had started, but no worries now that I have all my old stats and achievements.

I did find that copying the save folder only saves the profiles and Pinnacle weapons achievements, but not the other achievemens and stats ME1. The save folders only keep the profiles from ME2, but none of the stats or achievements.

My Documents\\BioWare\\Mass Effect\\Save\\Profile.MassEffectProfile
My Documents\\BioWare\\Mass Effect 2\\BIOGame\\Profile\\player1.prf
