I just opened up the sunken ruins tileset and it is really amazing.  There is endless possibility to dual-level tiling with really great stairs and such.  I'm really impressed.

Be careful to test the walkmesh as soon as you put down the tiles, it's possible to build things that look like they can walk, but won't.

Both the sunken ruins and shadow fortress look great, but can quickly become a huge headache getting tiles to line up correctly. So many good ideas have started to be tossed when the tiles just wouldn't go together right. Unfortunately, a few of the tiles have been made to line up with certain tiles and it can be much more constricting in layout then it originally looked.

Oh man, don't remind me about the shadow fortress. It has so much potential, but it's just plain missing a lot of the tiles you'd need - probably because they have so many levels, etc. I've only just got Platinum, so I haven't had chance to delve into things like the sunken ruins just yet. I'll definitely take a look at them, though.

I've found that getting the walkmesh to line up is the biggest problem, but with some tile combinations you can also get gaps in walls and corners even if the walkmesh behaves itself. A few tinted and scaled placeables (columns, walls, etc) can hide a multitude of sins though.

That reminds me of my building days (houses not modules). "Putty and paint, will make it what it ain't"

Keeping my fingers crossed. Everything looks good so far, just had to stick some thayan pillars in to cover a nook.
