This is all based on the fact that I want to be the biggest monster I can, pumping out as much dmg as possible.
I just hit level 14 on this playthrough, and I max'd out the 2h tree (except the mighty blow buff, and cyclone buffs)
I maxed out the vanguard tree, including the claymore buff
I got bolster and second wind
I got blood frenzy and devour.
My questions:
Should i invest into sacrificial frenzy, frevor or aura of pain?
Should I get cleanse/riteous strike?
Should i respec out of assail and use the point in something else?
reaver+templar vanguard questions?

well,
Sacrificial frenzy is great, just use it when on low health and your damage will increase greatly.
Fervor is a must have to, when you kill something you gain 30% attack speed bonus for 10 seconds, and you will always be killing things.
Aura of pain is pretty worthless but know need it to get fervor, you could use it to get low health I suppose.
As for the Templar talents, I guess you won't need anything else then Holy Smite, if you wan't to silence enemies instead of just killing them, well, it's your game pick what you like.
Dunno if you should keep Assail, however you should get Bravery (+ upgrades) since there will always be enemies around you and since you're not a berserker you have the spare stamina.
Anyway, what dificulty are you playing? And what party setup do you use?

I would suggest that you give both Anders and Merryll the Elemental tree, since you don't have Friendly fire just let them drop firestorms on your head when you're surrounded by enemies.
Varric should get Scoundrel (besides his personal tree of course) so you can redirrect the threat towards your warrior.
Since your 2 mages will have elemental maxed you should get upgraded Mighty Blow & Scythe to get the extra damage from brittle CCC's, I would suggest using Cone of Cold + Winters Blast for it (both upgraded + Elemental mastery!)
Last but not least your mages should get Chain Lighting (+ Chain Reaction) to take advantage of all the staggers you will make with Claymore + Sunder
That's the basics.
Oh, and not to forget you really should get Bravery, since you're the only warrior, and thus the one that should receive the enemies attention.
