I am at level 14 and have the Stone Prisoner which came with my purchase.  I am wondering when the right time in the game is to take on this and perhaps the Wardens Keep DLC as well?  I am sure I am high enough in terms of level, but is there a point in the game progression when it makes sense or doesn't it matter?

Thanks.

I always do it ASAP (especially since I almost ALWAYS use Shale). Warden's Keep you can do whenever you like but it unlocks some nice equipment and a storage chest to use.. so I would suggest doing it sooner then later.

Aye I did both directly after Lothering. Kinda helped boost my level a bit too..more skills = easier-ish battles.

If you have Warden's Keep, do it as soon as possible, since it has some... benefits.

Keep in mind that the entire game scales so you can attempt almost anything at any level and win. I personally do both pieces of DLC at the beginning of every game since they have great rewards that help elsewhere.

I agree with the above poster. I ALWAYS go straight for Shale since he's a much better tank when you first get him than Alistair. Then I go to the mage tower to get Wynne, and then my party is set with a great tank and healer for the rest of the game. Also, you get some very useful abilities from the other DLC (at least they were very useful for my DW warrior).

You can tackle it at a very low level, and to be honest, you have the most to gain for the rest of the game if you get the loot from the two DLCs.

Thanks all for the quick help! By "Shale" I am assuming you are talking about the Stone Prisoner (since I haven't played it, I don't know this character) but as I am a warrior I doubt I would use him in regular battle. I need a rogue for the loot and at least a defense mage. I have also liked going with another offensive mage which I think works better than a tank. Maybe I am wrong here, but given my character class Shale might be less interesting. As for Warden's Keep, it does sound like I should do this. I guess I'll have to go pay for that one now....
