I feel like an idot asking, but I can't figure this out. I have a ranger and when I got the option to choose an animal companion I picked the boar so it could tank for me. I just picked up the Dinosaur companion feat and summoned my companion, but I still got the boar. Where is my dinosaur?

In my list of feats I can drag the feat for summoning an animal companion to my hot bar, but I can't for the dinosaur. Should I have been able to choose what Dino I wanted when I picked the fear, or is there just one standar one that comes with the feat? I am clearly missing something.

The feat is still Animal Companion, you can't drag the dino, that's normal. Have you multiclassed? If so, did you take the dino feat on a non-ranger level? I think there's some bug with that.

Yes I have multiclassed and I am not sure if it was a non-ranger level. O well guess there is a wasted feat. Thanks for the info

Try releveling with the console. I never know the commands for these things, though. I 'think' one way to do it is to open the console and type:

debugmode 1
givexp -x
givexp x
debugmode 0

(Where x is the amount of xp you want to drop). And exit the console. So you drop a certain amount of experience, then gain it again. I think this works, but I'm not sure about it. Someone else should be able to confirm it.

Use dm_givexp instead of givexp - unless you want to relevel everyone.
