Hello, I hope I'm not being of too much bother, but I could use some help.

I recently bought a copy of Neverwinter Nights 2 Platinum on Steam. So far everything's been going relatively well, with the exception that the game freezes every once in a while. It always happens during combat, I can still move the cursor around the screen, but everything else is frozen. I can't bring down the game window and the task manager doesn't work either, so the only thing left to do is cut the power to the PC (which I really don't like doing).

I would guess that I need to patch it, but I was under the impression that Steam did that for me. What is the latest version? And if that isn't the problem what else could it be related to? I would appreciate any help I could get  ^^

edit: Oh, and it seems to work fine in windowed mode, so I guess I could play it like that if nothing else works :-/

The Steam version is fully patched. Most likely your computer is overheating, or there is a driver problem.

I updated my graphic drivers to fix a texture issue, so that can't be it. How do I tell if my computer is overheating? And if it is, is there anything I can adjust in the game to prevent it from doing so?

The same (with a Steam version). This only happens during combat, and I'd really like to play this game. Come on, you computer wizards; help us poor noobs! :crying:

Would help if you didn't expect us to hit a small target from a distance of half the planet.

Give us your system specs and that will at least give someone something to start with.
