What exactly are the patterns anyway? Is there much correlation between Renegade-Left or Right/Authoritarian or Libertarian and Paragon- Left or Right/Authoritarian or Libertarian?

I don't think so, for left/right, but the authoritarian leftist players seem to be more Renegade.

I didn't see anything about "pro-establishment" in the religion section. I did see the "must be religious to be moral?" which, as a staunch Christian, I have to say is absurdly silly.

Maybe to you, but I have Christian friends who think I'm one temptation away from killing babies.

They're the "weird" kind of Christian.  The kind that thinks the talking snake story was legit.

Religion was outlawed in the USSR, anyway, and that sh*t was pretty damn authoritarian.

Authoritarian states tend to restrict other religions because they want to be the religion. They see nothing wrong with blind faith and likely see it as a necessity, they just don't like competition.

Oooh that's pretty cool.

That is lol, mostly because it doesn't seem like you at all.

Really? Not quite sure what to think of that. I freaking hate politics, at least the way the U.S. chooses to indulge in it. Honestly I've been wanting to move to Canada for a while now.

You just never seemed very "liberal."

Canada isn't doing so well. A lot of Americans think it's better for reasons that it's actually worse. If you think politics is bad in America, wait until you see Canada. It's less polarized and ridiculous, but only because it's inherently broken.

I can't stand people like that it's why I don't consider myself a christian because so many of them are close minded and can't respect other people's opinions.

Out of curiosity, do I seem like the most politically extreme person on the BSN (which according to the chart I am)?

Also @ Howl: you keep talking about your results, but I haven't seen you post them yet. Please do so so I can add them.

Quite, liberty is a principal this country was founded on and easily forgotten when you want something outlawed that you don't personally like.

You're thinking about totalitarianism. Authoritarianists don't usually have ideology. That's where this test is flawed. It has Stalin as a comparative for authoritarian even though he was charismatic, ideological, and against pluralism, all things more totalitarian than authoritarian.

Not really, no. But I think it's actually more that you and jreezy don't seem very outspoken about where you stand on political issues, normally.

Then find your truth in the Bible and stand by your beliefs!  No one says those jokers need to run the show, or run your mind.  I fight with my fellow Christians all the time because they pick and choose what they need from the bible to enforce thier bigotry rather than understand how the book was written and what takes presidence.  That said, those tools irritate me as well because it makes the rest of us look bad.

Well, when talking about video games I guess it doesn't really come up.

Although I guess it does it explain why I like the quarians and don't like the volus. It must be about the economics.

Not a fan of economics myself. Too many graphs and numbers. Hopefully I don't fail it because that's what I'm taking right now. I have to make up my own video game economy.

I actually think a lot of Americans would broadly fall under the umbrella of "libertarians", as it seems most people would simply like to let people live as they like and be allowed to do the same themselves. Trouble is, these are usually the same people who don't really care enough about politics to vote.

I stand by my beliefs I just get real tired of how so many christians these days try to use other people's beliefs/opinions as the reason for all their problems.

Hey man nothing wrong with talking snakes.  Apart from all that drug-pushing they do in magical gardens and nudist colonies.

And then suddenly you got people wearing clothes and killing each other and childbirth hurts and man has to work for a living...

Going to a Catholic school can really cramp your style if snakes were your favorite animal in second grade, man.

Out of curiousity, do you believe morality is a product of our biology, society, or of our souls/the Holy Spirit?  Or maybe a combination?  Obviously, souls are out of the question for me, so I think it's a combination of biology and society, but what do you think is the most immediate source?

I think people are born with a bit of morality: our conscience, if you will. And we have the choice to follow it, or ignore it.

My belief is that the "Holy Spirit" adds to it, but doesn't actually create or define it.
