The Fade leeches parasitically from reality, its spirits hungering for the fierce flow of life, thought and emotion offer their foul magics in return for the blood and soulstreams of those foolish enough to accept them but there is something more. In time the stuff they feed upon enfuses them until they shift and become perverted representations of the very qualities they desire.
But something troubles me. Long have we fought the lyrium tainted, in these lands and others, and always the greatest shield against their foul temptations has been a body, mind and soul at one with the Qun. To us their illusions are childish and crudely made, we can step free of their lures with merely a thought and a verse of Kosluns wisdom. Is this the strength of the Qun inuring us to the lies of the unreal, or has the Qun begun to manifest in the fade.
We are faced with two possibilities: That the Qun has begun to bleed into the fade and has become a nascent power in the realm of the unreal. Or that Kosluns wisdom in denying the lies of emotion and instinct has become the very antithesis of the fade, weakening and perplexing the spirits that would seek to feast upon the souls of the righteous.
In the end it does not matter for we WILL find a way to sever the fade from reality, thus saving the lyrium tainted from their cursed abilities and the threat of possession, but all must be known and studied if we are to achieve perfection and know our enemies.

You know if you're going to zealously play a Qunari character on the forums you probably shouldn't try to make up Qunari lore that we don't have enough information about. Severing the Fade from the world is ridiculous, akin to severing the sky from the earth. And considering the Qunari dream in the fade like humans and elves as far as we know, I don't see any reason to think the Qunari would want to. If it as that simple wanting to prevent demons or possession they could simply kill all Saarbas on sight or when their talents are discovered. In fact I'd say trying to struggle against the fade is suspiciously like "struggling against the tide." The Fade just is, there is nothing to struggle against.

The fade is an abomination and those tainted by its leeching must be freed of their curse, even to an ignorant bas this should be simple logic. The saarebas are tainted and must be controlled through draconian measures for the sake of the greater good, that is not to be argued, but to not seek an end to their suffering would be failing both them and the Qun that exhorts us to conquer all in our path both within and without.
As for simply killing all the afflicted on site, we are not barbaric and moronic bas to slaughter so and this would result in our enemies possessing weapons while we waste ours when all can be cured through the righting of a grave wrong.

As the Ashkaari said
There is no chaos in the world, only complexity.
Knowledge of the complex is wisdom.
From wisdom of the world comes wisdom of the self.
Mastery of the self is mastery of the world
The Fade is complex, but from study of it can come wisdom. Wisdom which can allow you to master that world as well as this.

The fade is not of this world, it is an abomination that taints and twists it and while it is true that we ashkaari do eternally seek knowledge, it is the application of that knowledge that is important. To seek congress with demons is foolishness, to know them so that you might better smite them is wisdom.

To be fair, demons have a considerably better track record in honoring their deals (and generally being less destructive to their environment) then the Qunari can look back on.

If you want to roleplay, you'd best put that into the fan-art section as the first responder put it aswell.

Demons are deceit personified, the beast empire that believes in its corrupt dotage that it is the master of the fade is naught but a puppet of abominations and demons. Proud magisters believe themselves gaining in power whilst they bargain away their souls to demons, fools and weaklings soon to be no more.

A demon's help comes at a prize that might be terrible indeed. But the Qun asks of us the highest, the most valuable of all prizes, and offers merely a cowards comfort in return.

The Qun offers freedom and a better life when compared to the barbaric slave empires of Thedas, and asks for nothing more than that the Qunari excel to the limits of their ambition and abilities thereby treading the path to enlightenment and perfection.
Look to the Arishok, once a simple karashok of the antaam he rose through determination and skill to lead the body of the Qun and return to us the very words of Koslun. Despite the murderous and perverted intrigues of the kirkwall slavemasters.
